I almost beat him with my ranger, but he made two consecutive hits through blind and killed me. Yeah, I know, it's just a 90% miss chance...

I can't really see how to beat him with a pure warrior build. He hits WAY too hard and you cannot interrupt his bear form.

My money is disappearing before my eyes ._.

Riposte, Deadly Riposte, Dragon Slash, For Great Justice, Flail, Lions Comfort will easily do the trick. Dragon Slash spam until you get to Bison, then just play him defensively.

After you beat bison and have to beat 6 people. Does that include killing magni all over again?

This sucks.....its impossible to do this with just necro skills......it looks like anet still hasn't learned a damn thing.

Don't remember attributes. Just keep him crippled the whole time, the degen will eventually kill him.

Edit: I'm sure theres better builds, or even improvements for this one, but it worked for me.

Actually, given the fact that the point, or part of the point, of the Tournament is probably to teach the synergy available to a character with skills from multiple professions, I'd say it is somebody else who hasn't learned anything yet.

The Norn Tournament is in Gunnar's Hold, below the hill Gunnar Poundfist is on, to the side. There is a fighting arena in the middle of town, look for the circular walls of the spectator stands.Hold down Alt and look for Magni the Bison.

Ooooor it could be that I made a necro because I wanted to play as a necro, and not an f'ing 55? Also I have prophecies only so my movepool is fairly limited. I didn't make my necro because I thought they were the best for pve, I chose it because I like their play styles.

Ripostes/Dolyak/Final Thrust/Grenth's Balance really do the trick on warrior.
Thanks to these I won the Tournament 6 times in a row and made enough tokens for this crappy crown.
Eve is the only person, who can stop you with this build. Hopefully I didn't run into her. Argo? No problem.

And some opponents on the way to Magni are really funny and use... em, creative builds (Alesia with sword anyone? Devona using sin skills?).

Devona is actually quite a pain to kill : / 3 healing skills.

I was actually able to beat it on my paragon though with huge luck i think. Just had Mending refrain, Finale of restoration(?), barbed spear, GftE, and nonsensical spear. It took LONG though with the bleeding and he didn't have purge signet for some reason when i did it Just kiting, bleeding, crippling, and GftE spamming pretty much did it for me lol

Ironically it is you who has not read the thread, check up a bit for my reply to that. And no I couldn't beat him with insidious+enfeeble+ignorace, its just too much mana, plus i have to heal myself with vigor.
