I haven't read the entire thread so I'm not sure if it was mentioned before, but map 2 does not seem to be 100%
According to my map, it has 6-7 areas missing.
That being said, I am stuck at 99.7% at the moment
edit: 99.8 now
edit: 99.9
edit: yay 100%!
The blink tester method is great, gj guys.
However the maps are weird. When doing cantha I didn't have to zoom at all. For 1280x1024 I have to zoom the map to 110% at irfanview and its not exact... (irfan doesn't let you arbitrarily zoom)

*****IMPORTANT NOTE*****
This thread is now closed for Map requests.
If there is someone who is interested in doing map checks, please pm me and we'll see if we can't do something else. But there are so many map requests that legitimate questions are getting drowned out. In the meantime, if you want to get a map check, you'll have to read up on how to do it yourself, or pay someone who's running a service (check ventari's). But this is a notice that all further map requests will be deleted (in this thread specifically and more so in a separate thread.)
*****EVEN MORE IMPORTANT EDIT*****
To Clarify, I'm not doing map checks. Don't PM me with map checks.

Holy Crap ddust I missed that map completely! That is a freaking awsome post! I'll link it to the OP, and if it turns out we revamp the map threads I'll be sure to include it!

I'm struggling at 98.5% in Elona at the moment.
A couple of questions:
1. Is it possible to get to 100% without mapping the Remains of Sahlahja Challenge Mission areas? I just HATE this mission, more than anything else in GW.
2. The big map shown above, by ddust, does not have any red dots in Gandara, The Moon Fortress (though it seems to be all unfogged). Does this mean that 100% is attainable without mapping this area?

You will need Gandara the Moon fortress but you can only get inside it during a mission.
I would not recommend skipping Remains of Sahlahja since it is a very large area worth 0.3% or more. You can do it in stages so that you don't have to worry about being chased through the whole thing.

That mission was kinda a pain, I think I made four or five trips through it on two seperate occasion, but it's much less of a pain than looking for scraps elsewhere.

And another one for me!
Thanks for the advice in previous threads (for Cantha and Tyria) ...
... but I managed to do this one pretty much alone by the same methods, with a little help from Texmod and my girlfriend.... ^_^

Ditto.
I am stuck at 99.3% and have failed at this mission so many times that I have just resigned myself to not getting the Elona title. I suck big time with this mission and end up frustrated and angry and going off GW for a few days every time I try to get this area mapped.
I have tried the suggestions on how to get through this mission, but when I can't do something like this solo, it just stays undone. So far I have succeeded in opening one door only - thats how much I suck at this mission!
This is the only mission area in GW that I have not been able to map with success. And my hatred for this mission is now beyond bounds.

^^ you don't have to worry about preforming well enough to get all the door's open. It's somewhat easier (and mightly less frustrating) to get one door open, and map everything you can, then restart the mission until you get another door open that you haven't mapped yet.

Hi Snipe
The few times I have actually got a door to open, it has always been the same door -.-
You have no idea how much I suck at this mission lol
Don't ask me why - I have managed to H&H Elona to the finish (which was pre-NM nerf of the Realms!) so I cannot understand my inability to get this mission beat ...
Oh well - back to practicing how to kill Greater Infestations before I get my fate handed to me by a see through, chaos axe wielding terror...

Nah, it's easily one of the more challenging missions in the game. It quite honestly took me a long time to finish mapping the misison out. I'd play it until I got frustrated with it, try mapping elsewhere till I got irritated with that, then come back to it.
Did you look at this guide here? It was a big help when I was working on ths title. It's been a bit since I've played the mission, but I think there was a pattern that you could follow (movements + skill combos) that worked for me. I'll see if I can't digg it out again.

Besides the fact that no one is checking maps, that is a CONSIDERABLE amount of area left. You need to go back and hug walls.
I'd start comparing what you have to this map here.

Arie - Thats a lot of map still left. You will need to start off by going back and scraping the walls in each outpost and each area.
Are you using your mouse to move along the walls? If so, stop it, lol
Some tips for you:
Use your keyboard movement to WALK along the walls. You will not find all the little nooks and crannies with mouse movement. And do WALK - don't run the 45 deg method - you will miss some spots.
I found myself getting into all sorts of trouble by getting hypnotised by the wall and forgetting I'm actually going to come face to face with those red dots... so what I now do is clear a nice long area of edge/wall of all foes. then peg H&H at my end spot - then go back and mouse walk the wall till I reach my H&H.
Sometimes you will need to double back on yourself to open up a small area - and sometimes a small area is opened from a diagonal angle not directly from in front of the spot you want to open.
Also make sure you check that the middle of an area is completely unfogged - it's easy to get focussed on the wall hugging and forget the center of each area.
Another commonly missed area is the zone-in spot. Most times you zone into an area quite a bit into the area from the gate itself. When you zone in, go back to the gate and do the walls right up to the gate.
Hope this helps. I'm still stuck at 99.3% of Elona and just the Sahlajah mission area to do get done - *cries

Do you guys think there's anything especially quirky about Elonan mapping? I whizzed through Tyria and Cantha with very few problems, but I've been stuck at 99.2% for ages. I think I've pretty much done Sahlahja as far as I can see, but now the close scrutiny is starting to give me migraines!
Hmm, might give that TexMod thingie some scrutiny...
