Could anyone help me with the Evennia corpse trick in the Wilds? I just don't have the ranger skills unlocked and don't understand the walkthrough.
If so, please send me a PM.

Certain areas are no longer available after GW:EN
I there, i try to map on Tyria and i reliase certain areas are still "foggy" even u run around or even passed by there. I dont know its a bug or no longer available.
For example the mission "Gates of Kryta", the end part on the south areas and the small rocks and islands [ the Beach area] are no longer pop open after u passed there.
The purple arrows indicate the missing areas.
There some more areas more that have these kind of problems. Dont know if its a bug or they just do that. Does it means we have less areas to map and make it harder to get 100%?

As far as I can tell so far, but I have done not that much testing, the areas don't show on the U-map as explored, but do count as explored.
For example, some fog is on mission paths.
I'd have to test it on a mule account to be 100% sure, but am not in the position to do that anytime soon.

Koe,
You have a bit of work ahead of you. 4.8% of a maps worth of work.
The attached should get you started, but is probably not a complete display of all the areas you still need to find.
Good Luck

ddust,
You seem to have found a bug in the map, or a revision in the game that is not completed yet. I just visited that area and the ground you see in front of you is just as shown in your map, but my M-map, U-map and Radar-Screen (sorry, don't recall what that is called) show a much reduced land area. I am walking on what M,U and Radar show as water, but I see land in front of me.
The attachment is a snapshot of my M-Map (the U-Map and Radar screen look the same). Sorry, I don't know how to put pictures directly into a post...
As you can see by the red dots, I am walking on water!

Since my Tyria map got to 100% I have continued to find more and more map to unfog.
I would estimate that if the counter did not stop at 100% I would be at 100.5%, at the very least. As far as I can tell the system is far more generous in Tyria than it is in either Elona or Cantha. I have not found any significant area to unfog on either of those maps since I got them to 100%.
The recent re-sizing of the Tyria map may alter that situation. What the re-sizing means for people still working on the Cartographer title I do not know.
The re-sizing may be the source of the discrepancy found by ddust (in post #3807) and also mentioned in my immediately preceeding post.

I am sorry if I am asking a question that's already been answered, but there are 191 pages in this thread.
I can't figure out how to clear the fog ABOVE the outpost The Frost Gate, that is, north of the shield. How should I proceed?
I'm at 98.1%

Moloch Vein,
There are 2 areas above Frost Gate.
The first is explored in the Borlis Pass mission (it's off the path, but easy to reach).
The second, smaller one, is explored from inside the Frost Gate outpost.
I don't have my GW on atm, it could also be that the map is bugged there.

Actually That is What i was trying to say, We previously are able to revealed/opened up those rocks islands in OLD TYRIA map before GW:EN update. But on the NEW TYRIA map those rocks are missing. We stand on the island but it only show water on teh U map or M map
The new TYRIA MAP with GW:EN map made alot areas cant be revealed anymore. This is one of examples of those area that missing or "buggy"
THIS IS NEW TYRIA MAP after GW:EN MAP included

ddust,
The graphic bugs are submitted to the Game Bugs forum:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10181454
People are aware that the new U-maps are bugged at various places.
The only thing you and I can do is document them, so others know the spot will not show up as explored.

I got Tyria GMC yesterday with my ranger.
First o f all, thanks to the author of this thread and other contributors, especially for the complete maps.
I haven't used any map comparison method. I played the game on my main PC, and on a laptop I had the maps opened. So I could compare in real time what I was doing.
Some random considerations:
- having started this character recently, I did all Prophecies missions for the 1st time and explored very carefully while doing missions. So I only had to come back to very few areas after I finished the campaign (like Dunes bonus area, Sanctum Cay east side for instance).
- Talus Chute bugged area didn't count at all for me. I did regular esploration of east side, then when I was at 99.9% I went there hoping to get the remaining 0.1% but I didn't.
I've also seen that TCfish's new Tyrian map and my unfogged map look the same with the new fog system, whereas the old maps seem to show something more. Maybe this means that A.net has corrected this area and the extra 0.1% is no longer available.
- The only "trick" I used was the Rurik's path in Frost Gate, that I used when I was at 99.9%. When there, I suggest to go back to the beginning of the mission, because I found the remaining 0.1% very close to the beginning of the path, whereas in the end part I only uncovered a small corner (but I scraped that south area very carefully during the mission itself).
So, if you scrap very carefully everywhere and especially take time during mission, you won't need Evennia's trick for instance. When I read it, I thought I would have never been able to use, and luckily, I did'nt need to use it
I was worried that A.net messed up something with the new map system, but now I can confirm that the title is still achievable and probably the whole map can be 100.2%-100.3%.
Final thoughts: for me exploration means going in all places of the "world", find nice spots, check all the content put in game by devs. In this extent, this should be one of the most enjoyable activity to do in game.
But when it comes to the title, the way it is currently designed leads you to spend hours and hours facing the walls.
You don't see nearly anything, just how the walls look like. Foes you find are just annoying obstacles you have to get rid in order to continue your wall hugging. Nice landscapes, you don't see them at all.
This ruins the fun to explore. This should be reworked in some way, maybe not for the current game but hopefully for GW2.

I get masters in all 3 continents...
My tips.
Tyria is the worst
>>Scrap every wall inch, in some places you dont clean fog but get %...<<
If you scrap borders >>well<< you will find 3 <> 5 map glitchs will help a lot...
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Grandma...tography_guide is your friend
Clouds over desert are a pain... i get my last 0.3% in desert not clearing bordes but with fog in areas that clouds "mix" my eyes...
I scrap every inch of maguuna, kryta, north Shiverpeaks, 85% of south Shiverpeaks (i just clean the path for droks some time before i start working in title just by fun i walk close of walls but not to clean fog), fire islands and 90% desert (i get 100% and stop) and not scrap ascalon (because i get title with my first char and wast much time in ascalon)
And dont forget outposts.
How you can see i get map at ?85%? of wall scrap?
Scrap carefully walls kids...
I working in hard mode missions in tyria just now and still cleaing fog...
I think all maps must have 100.5%...
I wast 10 <> 12 days 2 <> 3 hours day scraping walls in tyria
I wast 6 <> 7 days 2 <> 3 hours day scraping walls in cantha
I wast 8 <> 10 days 2 <> 3 hours day scraping walls in elona
P.S. I have good start maps in tyria 85%, cantha 70% and 60% in elona and i get master 85% <> 95% in all maps before 100% wall scrap... to let all things clear i dont let any aparent fog in any continet i talking about wall scrap...

Hey, I'm at 99.1% and having some trouble finding where the pieces are. I tried to do that Difference thing but it might be the map I am using to compare it to but I kept getting a ring out by Fort Ranik.
Anyone that can help I'd really appreciate it. =]
