Ok folks, two questions... first, is there a way to reduce/remove the "passing clouds" on the main map?
Second, anyone feel like picking out .4% from this map?

You don't need every single little speck of exploration to get 100%... You can not explore a very few places and still get it...

i didnt know if it was better to use lower or higher resolutions for these things so i decided to switch it up a bit this time. i got up to 98% and would like an updated version of my difference map cause ive done a lot of places on my old one and would just like a clean map of what i havnt done. please and thank you.
the map is 800x600 this time. and just for future reference, someone let me know what res is the best to use.

Congrats Lorgbow!!
I've done some mapping in Nightfall but got to a point where I had to rush to finish the game. Now I need to return to all the fun spots... Atleast you don't have to explore the fun after the rift... That would be REALLY interesting
I'll check back this afternoon to see if any maps need analyzing. Been a busy while for me

countesscorpula & Lavitz,
Here's a quick comparison for ya. The red circled areas require further exploration.
countesscorpula,
A couple pages back someone posted how to remove the clouds using Photoshop and multiple maps. It does clean up the map but it's not necessary. We can usually find the missed areas even with clouds.
Lavitz,
1024x768 or 1280x1024 or 1600x1200
Those are the most commonly used and preferred resolution settings (higher resolution yields greater detail). This has been posted before, but since this thread moves rather quickly at times information gets buried quickly. It also helpful if you hold SHIFT when taking your screenshot as this will remove the pins from the map.

Ok, as i do not have the battles isles, its much harder for me to get 100%. Now, i got this 100% map from a certain person who didnt have the battle isles. If somebody could compare the 100% map to mine, and give detailed directions to spots i missed, id be gratefull. If your comparison leads me to 100%, i will pay you a large sum of money.
100% map:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/a...1&d=1152772774
My maps are in the attachment. I took 2, to eliminate the factor of clouds. The 3rd has got removed pins in the map.
Remember the money, you know you want it
Thanks in advance,
~PyrAnkh~

Right, thanks Wobrak for pointing me in the directions I needed to go. Unfortunately now I'm stuck at 99.1% and I'm positive I scraped everything that was marked
So if you could please have a look at it again, I'm beginning to feel very very lonely.

Thanks Wobrak,
I saw a few of the ones you picked out and cleared them last night, but the final .1% came from that little dip just outside Beetleton. Never would have noticed it. Thanks again.
And Special Shoutout to AstroPubes, for puting up with my ranting last night.

sory bout that. but yea that 800x600 wasnt very detailed as you said. was on an old computer cause my dad wanted to use mine. it doesnt support anything higher than 800x600 lol.
but here is a 1280x1024 screenshot so if you could do a difference map of it that would be great. thanks in advance.

Millsy182, Explorer title should be something that you do for yourself. Not only to use it as a means to show off to others
Exploring can be VERY difficult at times (specially if you play a caster), I remember spending 6 hours travelling from Droks to Beacons. Was not fun at all. I kept dying, henchies were useless, my language deteriorated rather badly as well But then you start to learn how to best play your character in PvE, things start getting easier and you get through some difficult bits much easier.
You get to see a lot of the map that many people pretty much ignore completely and I can promise you that there are a LOT of beautiful spots to visit in each campaign.
So if you enjoy a challenge and want to experience a few things that many others just ignored, go ahead and explore Just be careful, at 99% the obsession takes over your life
