I've started using overlays with Photoshop.
This allows me to analyze maps much quicker and have them labelled.
Let me know what you think. I may use some overlays with the explorable areas outlined.
I've only completed my overlay reference3 maps for 1024x768. I will be doing it for 1280x1024. It takes a while - so those who gave me maps at 1280x1024, have a bit more patience.
Dougal.

lylo, read post #1111 for me to analyze your map.
I don't do the comparison method with the Mark 1 Eyeball.
To get to the area between Talus and the Ice Caves - simply exit into Talus Chute from the Ice Cave of Sorrow. Head down into the area where the mobs of Ice Golems are and hug the wall to the south then to the east. Eventually, you move into the mountainous area and just keep edging in a northern and eastern fashion until you have the area mapped.

Okay, it's been a while since I've had the time to get serious about mapping but I managed to get up to 99.9%. I've seen several areas of minor mist disappear without getting to 100% yet. Please help. I can't figure out how to get the mist gone north of the SF entry portal. I went there, strafed, stood around, danced, jumped, anything I could think of to get that little extra forward to try to uncover. Still shows as missing. Here is the map, I hope...

Oops, sorry dougal, I just realised that the map I asked you too look at a couple of pages back is no good as I didn't press shift when I screen capped it.
This one should be fine.
Thanks.
Rog.

Pre searing does NOT count we have said this plenty of times before and have tested it (read the whole thread and the other one about 100% maps). Now the arenas DO count....so while you are low level get your butt into those!
I am finally at 99.5% with my monk, redid some of the begining missions scavaging for char hides.......and got another .1.....now to find another .4 and I will be done with it (already know where one of my .1 is hidding, just need to get my act together to go all the way up to lomar pass and map the whole thing again.....it just takes waaaay tooooo long)....so that other pesky .4 is still hiding from me!

slowly progressing. 98.2% atm. mapped lornar pass and frost gate well, trying other locations but the bits on the map are truly a few, cant believe i still miss 1.8%.
anyone would be interested in a tutorship for me? take me by the hand and take me to 100%, can pay well
i can post the zoomed in maps for all areas if needed... just dont see where i can get 1.8% in my map
