can anyone tell me how to get on that "arena" island east of the SANCTUM CAY mission ? (south of lion/seaboard)
that "difference" trick in photoshop is nice.. but i see the difference's better when i keep switching my map on and off ( read: layer)...
that 100% map has some spots that i do got covered..
as i found the following places are not mapped on the "100% map" (1280x1024)

Thanks for looking Waffle. I think I got everything there. I did run through the Charr door and got to the edge of the game there. It was funny. I died and my body was hanging over the edge floating in mid-void. lol The 2nd run I made there I turned west just before the bridge and ran back there. I believe I got it all, but I will check again.
Last night, I intensely perused this thread and found a broken up 100% map. I think I found some areas I need, so I'll check them. Thanks for looking. Appreciate the help a lot.

PyrAnkh,
I took a look at the image you posted. I think I can tell w/o analysis of where u might need to focus some efforts.
Thunderhead Keep. Make sure you DON'T talk to Jalis. Go outside, take a monk with you and run around all the edges.
Ice Dome. It looks like you need most of it.
Bloodstone Fen. Don't kill the boss at the end. Run behind him and unfog all that area.
Aurora Glade. Same thing. After you kill the Demogoge, run around behind him before you place the last crystal on the pedestal. When you get to the Henge Guardian, run around that area while your party kills it.
The Wilds. It appears you need to run around the lake at the bonus area. It could be one of those cheesy clouds distorting your map though.
Good Luck.

Thanks for taking a look HeroAjax. I was aware of the THK area, and i should have known about the aurora glade area too, thanks for pointing it out. Im pretty sure i ran around the lake, though. I did that bonus solo when i decided to go for explorer title.

I am having trouble getting the method of creating the difference map to work. I am following the instructions laid out in post 278 (not sure if that's the exact number), but when I switch the "Normal" to "Difference", I don't notice any change. I am using Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8. I don't have Photoshop. Am I able to do this with my software at all ?
Any help is appreciated.
BTW, I didn't post my map since I have a ton still to do, but I would like to know how to get this working, if possible, so I can create the difference map myself.
Also, I was able to use Leighwyn's technique on the Cantha map, but the 100% map there was a stitched-together compilation of "U" maps. Is there such a compilation for Tyria ? Or are they all just zoomed-out global maps ?
Thanks.

Not to spam the message board with posts, but where do you guys get your 100% maps from to compare these. And also, do you have any zoomed in 100% maps that I could use to try and compare little sections myself? Thanks again.

Check post #273 for links to the maps.
Post #1111 has instructions for taking the screenshot and the analysis to create Difference maps.

Ok - i have worked out how to analyse maps, and i have analysed my own. However, i can't work out how to hide map markers! This makes it a bit harder to analyse as the map im comparing it to has them hidden. How do u hide them? (By map markers i mean outpost, mission, town and travel buttons on the map)
