I'm confused at some of the recent posts asking for a new map comparison. Didn't Dougal show you everywhere to go in the first map? Why do you need a new one? :P
Also - Everyone who recently posted - go explore the bonus area of Dunes of Despair before you do anything else, and don't forget to cross the invisible bridge area in the far south-west corner. :P

I'm trying to get a map without towns appearing, and can't seem to do it. Someone said Shift+Print Screen I think, but that is not seeming to work. Can anyone point me in the right direction before I pop a blood vessel?

I gave this method a go. My difference map for Tyria showed one tiny area in the Shiverpeaks and the old arenas (of course). I am only at 92.6%. Do the arenas really count for that much?

What you are looking for is a function, in Photoshop, Paintshop or Gimp, that will show you the difference between two layers.
Start with a complete map, save it as a photoshop/paintshop/gimp image (so that it can handle layers). Add you map-screenshot as a new layer. Open the layer palette, select the new layer (your map-screenshot), find the dropdown box that will let you define how layers are combined (it's prolly on "normal") and select "difference" (or something similar) ... that should do it.

Canthan characters can go anywhere in Tyria that a Tyrian can. (Except for pre-sear for you picky people, which doesn't count towards Explorer anyway, so NYA!)

You don't need arenas to get 100%, but it helps.
