Heya Finch...
Just some visual guess here.
Hell's Precipice - just west of the spheres/orbs (kill the outside two, but leave the center) you should be able to eliminate the fog along the coast.
The far NW corner of Dunes... Looks like you might be able to hug the corner up there.
Looks like a bit of fog south of the T in Talmark Wilderness (across the river) and perhaps the north end of the beach in Tears of the Fallen. Finally the NW corner of Talkmark looks hazy too.
You might be able to pick up a bit more if you NT glitch over to Rurik's path in the Frost Gate... couple points there.
Again, not comparing to a 100% map or anything (and I'm at 99.2 on my boy), but hope that gives you a few spots to check. Edit: but thanks to Rahl I might be posting a HOORAY once I get some running done tonight. Thanks for those checkpoints Rahl.

its kinda a glich. you leave out the west side of ice caves and go north. fighting all those stupid imps and ice golems is a pain but theres a place you can go up the hill in the river and get to that place.
I'm sure they've posted this in this thread

Really looks to be more the NE corner of it. Maybe not through Witmans, but running the southern edge of Ice Caves of Sorrow
Here's a shot from my Ranger's map that will show you what unfogged to shoot for:

Dilemma...
I've just gotten really bored lately, so I wanted to aim for this title with my monk but the problem is, I never battled in Ascalon or the Shiverpeaks Arena when she was less than level 15. So right now I can't get her bits of the arenas where you have to fight 'cause she's level 20 already. The best I could do was talk to the arena guards and actually get into the arenas themselves, then hug the walls in vain to try to uncover more ground. My question is... can you get the title without uncovering those parts? And if so, has anyone on this board gotten the title with the same situation I'm in currently? Thanks in advance

Areas to look at:
- Amnoon Oasis - hug all of the north side wall (get beach area too)
- Dunes of Despair - SW corner (west fort area)
- The Wilds - Far west corner area (in mission)
- Ice Caves of Sorrow (in mission) - nw corner side and s side (area closest to Witman's Folly)
There were a lot of minor small fogged edges here and there, but the above areas stood out.

Just a little tip for those who are doing the diff maps in Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro - if you look at the 100% map (gw911.bmp), you will see this faint shape near Ring of Fire islands:
When taking your screenshot of map, look to that place and try to "catch" the clouds in the same position. It's not that difficult, it's about 5 seconds after you press M and zoom out.
The point is, this makes the differences extremely visible, since the rest of the map will be pitch black.

hi guys
any tips on how i can trick several missions
cause they end before i can clear the fog,
like Thunderhead, Dunes, Frost Gate, even Ruins of Sumia.
is Dunes nerfed ?
scarabs rarely spawn anymore.
i did searched before this post
but yet couldn't find all those details i need to know,
for example Borlis Pass, how you get in this end area again ?
in sort i ask for a tutorial on those hard to get places,
really tired to do Dunes again and again and again,
you know what i mean....
thank you

Mapping, for the most part, is strictly done with henchies or alone -- at least in my W/Mo character case. Keep in mind that completing the mission is not the main goal. For Thunderhead Keep, Frost Gate, Borlis Pass, I used henchies and "tanked" my way through those missions, unfogging as I went. For Ruins of Sumia, I equipted running skills and went in alone. For Dunes of Despair, had to get a fellow guildie (monk) to keep ghost alive while my character ran around the south and east areas. I believe I made two passes.
Thunderhead Keep - had to make about 3 passes through the mission to get every corner. Once I cleared the fort of mobs (and cutscene plays), I basically ran to every corner outside the fort.
Borlis Pass - basic dungeon craw - kill everything.
Frost Gate - basic dungeon craw - kill everything. For Frost gate, use the lever to open the main gate then use it on the middle (might be the south?) mechanism -- which opens the gate to the south. Kill everything south of the gate while mapping. Do not use the lever again until you cleared the south section and mapped everything. Repeat lever/mechanism action to open north gate.
Ruins of Sumia - after leaving Prince Rurik at the bridge, leave him and go exploring the entire area.

Farrell-Zander, pay more attention to the posts in this thread. The PVP arenas (located on Battle Isles) do not count for this title. The staging area (not the actual mission) of the two remaining PVP arenas (Ascalon Arena and Shiverpeak Arena), which are still located on Tyria, do count.

I am not referring to the actual "mission" themselves, but the staging areas for those missons. The staging areas for both Ascalon/Shiverpeaks arenas are accessable, at least for my lv20 W/mo character. Try speaking with Bromgar (Shiverpeak Arena guard) and see if he lets you into the staging area. It's the staging area that counts towards the title.
Please keep in mind that the designers added a little extra buffer for the title. Comparing maps from various posters in this thread, I have noticed missed areas on my 100% completed map that others have gotten.

Is the upper circled area part of the Great Northern Wall mission? I know I cant get to the lower circled area.
Im at 98.4 with a sizable area in The NW Corner of The Falls & "The Back Route" of Ring Of Fire those 2 should get me to at least 99%...the rest is spotty & I need to finish those dang Titan Quests so I can map easier lol.

The upper circled area is part of the Gret Northern Wall mission. To access that part, while running back to the main gate (after cutscene), take the side route on the right just before you reach the bridge.
I can't get the lower circled area either, but that's because that area is primarily the Ascalon Arena. However, I manged to get some of the edges by hugging the west side edge of the Fort Ranik mission. Speak to Meghan, the Arena Guard for Ascalon Arena and he will let you into the staging area for that arena. this should get you a few .01. lol.
I'd remove the Titan Quest(s) from my quest log if you are mapping -- you can always re-obtain it later. ;-)

Load one of the 100% maps in Photoshop.
Load your map (must be the same resolution, 1024 x 768 for example) on a new layer on top of the 100% map.
With your map layer highlighted/selected in the Layers box (usually on the right hand side of the screen), click the dropdown box where it usually says Normal and change it to Difference.
Zoom in and look around for bright white specks near the edges of each area. Those are the places where your map is different than the 100% map.
I use two or three 100% maps to compare against mine, just to make sure I'm getting every last piece of fog. =)

This was a great tip. I do the same thing the person above said, cept I dont use the difference filter. I make sure the cloud pattern on my map is the same as the gw911 map ( the 100% map posted in this thread ) using the method quoted. Then I just click the eyeball next to my map really fast & look for the differences in the Two. Doing it this way makes the layered imgaes look like theyre moving, the "moving" areas are the places you need to uncover.

I got to 98.5 last night with some jungle missions.
Got Ascalon 100%
Shiverpeaks (north and south) 99.9% - I have to do THK and another mission to get small spots
Desert 100%
Kryta 100%
Jungle - fogs
Hope once I clear the jungle, it gets me closer to 99% and them some in ring of fire islands but not much. I believe the last .xx will be a pain since I do not see huge fogs anywhere.
Thanks Leighwyn and TC Fish, and good luck to everyone else.
