I know the basics; SV+SS+IP+PB

Upkeep these.

The celestial skill for Necro is all sorts of useless, I think.

my current set up;

myself soul reaping 10 curses 10 blood 15
signet of lost souls, dark pact, necrosis, parasitic bond, insidious parasite, Spoil Victor, Optional, res signet.

I bring Gwen as an MoR interrupter build. (maybe a bad idea? She has empathy but she doesn't seem to do much.)

Master of Whispers is set up as a SS.

2 warrior hench

2 mesmer hench.

I drop shiro to 1/8th hp pretty much every time. (I've even seen his bar 'empty' on enough such occasions.) Once he hits me with one unprepared Meditation of the reaper though, it's GG, cya next time.

Suggestions?

Right now my only thoughts are replacing Gwen with somebody that has Wild Blow.

You want Pain Inverter, Spoil Victor, Spiteful Spirit, you know all that. But here's the thing. It looks like you lack two things. Melee defence and raw power. The best way to get him out of Meditation of the Reaper is to do 600 damage quickly and directly. So melee triggered hexes do nothing.

Now here's the dilemna. No conditions. Ever. He'll send them back to you with Impossible Odds. So that rules out a Searing Flames elementalist. Is it possible for you to drop a mesmer for something with more direct damage? Assassin, elementalist with no conditions, etc? Or do you have something effective that deals in the way of direct damage with a mesmer? Priority really is getting him out of that meditation and fast.

The only hero I have with any variety of skills as far as that goes is a Paragon/Elementalist who I can give wild throw, he already has merciless spear, barbed spear and endows so he does *alright* DPS.
I might have to spend some time farmign Balthazar faction and suiting up a hero just for this mission.

Every time we have dropped Shiro in record time its been by boxing him in so he never gets a chance to run away.
3 or more melee seems to work very well, masses of damage and interupts.

the big deal about meditation of the reaper is that its a stance - use wild blow, wild throw, wild whatever that kills a stance and you are good to go. i usual go with awaken the blood + SV = 115 dmg on hit and pain inverter = 80 dmg on hit

so thats it - also i normal got ele with mind blast - spamming dmg and getting energy out of it, so also rodgort invocation or what its called... and a few extra that i cant remb

the main thing is he dies fast

To be fair only one of his skills is actually interuptable (the rest are activated instantly) so like someone already mentioned, [skill=text]Wild Blow[/skill] or something similar works wonders.

Consider bringing [skill=text]Vocal Minority[/skill] to prevent him from Banishing your party members, but at the same time be aware that the hex will only last half as long.

I found skills like [skill=text]Fertile Season[/skill] really do help the team giving them a huge HP buffer while it has minimum effect on Shiro (lets face it another hundered or 2 HP isnt going to make much of a difference lol) but its up to you really

Take an ele with echo celestial storm to end meditation of the reaper ASAP and pwn Shiro

That obviously cannot be hero or hench

[EDIT]: Just went to the kitchen and an idea struck - Try to use life stealing to end meditation of the reaper. With 2-3 necros u can easily steal 500 health in no time.
[EDIT2]: Bah, just checked Guildwiki. Whilst u can damage Shiro with life stealing while in meditation of the reaper, that will not count towards the damage necessary to end the skill

just my 0.02$

i did it without any thinking at all, threw in some random stuff. I thought i'd just go try it once in HM for fun before log off (HM ofc)

(yup, my char is R/Ne with ridiculous looking build but it worked)

Henchies were Hala, Sheena, Lukas and Devona if i remember correctly

1st try, he went to 1/4 life then 600+'d everyone but me.. then you know how it ends
2nd try, he went down faster, got his butt fried with a finishing 2000+damage instant spam, no one died

during both fight i just stood in the middle of a messy battle, spamming all of those, not even moving

Eh.

I beat Shiro in Hard Mode with myself + 3 necro heroes (four man team all N) for masters, exceedingly easy. You just give them all Grenths Balance and you yourself run SV. If you don't use a necro and you don't use a sin (which, well, that's another story altogether) slap on an SV on one of the heroes. Give them ALL Protective Spirit, maybe spirit bond, some decent prot, angorodon's, blood drinker, etc.

All in all you're creating four characters that would be able to "solo" Shiro were it not for some pretty silly features of said boss. Altogether they'll rape him.

Interrupts are a waste on Shiro. Only thing that can be interrupted are the Shiroken that come in.
