Anyone have any tips on how to kill those rotscales in majesty's rest HM?

make sure to have a bha ranger and enough healing/prott and enough dmg. and someone with pain inverter.bring consumbles too..powerstone,grail,armor,essence...

Also, buying off your DP at the shrine just before Rotscale (when we have favor) affect the entire party including heroes. Can be a cheap alternative to powerstone. basically prot on char who runs in and pulls everything but rotscale is how it's done. Just be warned once you kill a certain number of creatures up there, some shock phantoms will pop up on the bridge. Once you have only Rotscale left, it's just a slow and steady process of whittling him down. You need mark of protection up when ever you can. BHA helps a lot, and stand far enough apart from your teammates so swarm does not spread.

One skill imo, and flagging. That skill is Prot Spirit.
I did this on my Necro and the first part is flagging all your H/H at one end of the bridge. Put PS on yourself and pull the edge archers and maybe get a caster. They wont run across the bridge all the way so picking them off isn't to bad. Now run up the stairs to spawn the wraiths. Btw make sure you flag your H/H away from each other so the AoE doesn't toast em.
Now you should have Rotscale and perhaps another couple dragons and maybe one caster left. Rotscale was on the right side for me but can be on either side. Flag each hero to a spot along the stairs wall and put the henchman in another place so Feast of Corruption doesn't take out the whole team. Whittle his allies away and then start working on Rot, he takes a while but with proper spacing, even if he gets FoC off on your henchmen you should be able to get them all rezd again. Keep Prot Spirit on yourself, your primary rezzer(if needs be), and whomever has PS should keep it on himself too. Takes a little bit of micro but nothing intense.
GG Mr. Rotscale, rest of the zone is cake.

Migraine/Frustration mesmer + choking gas ranger (i believe his shout removes conditions...forget) completely shut him down, as for all the archers my choking gas ranger brought shields up, as well as a warrior. blinder/2 fire ele's went thru mobs easy enough. Had two awesome monks helping me (friend and his hero), and a MM cuz my migraine/frustration mesmer was norgu, setup to be a minion factory (get him to 30 dp and watch him kill himself with illusion of weakness!!! yayness...or do i just like killing off mesmers?)

...thats 9, take off a fire ele, never really loved fire ele's alot but they do nuke groups well, or take off the mm since he's pretty useless without killing off the mesmer (some ppl like to keep their allies alive...go figure)

we did it with 2 BHA monks and me (mesmer) with Fevered Deams + Frustration + leech signet + arcane conundrum, he died after 3 minutes and none of us got hit

Actually it kinda doesn't. For every time it actually returns something relevant, there's 20 cases where its a ridiculous waste of time.

Weird, I don't use it very often but when I do use it I always find what I was looking for

Might want to try it yourself before you make yourself look like a smartass. I searched for Majesty's Rest and got all services. Adding in vanquishing didn't change much. THIS thread was the first one I saw that looked helpful.

Heh, I apologise if I came over as a dick..my intentions were good tho

I used the search function, but I searched on rotscale(because he's what makes vanquishing majesty's hard) and the link I gave was one of the first results I got back then.

If you search on majesty's rest, you're right. Not much useful can be found then.

This area was extremely easy if you take the right builds...
I did it with 2 guildies and our team was

2x W/N Ursan / PI / Necrosis
W/E Ursan / PI
SV Necro,
SS Necro
HB Monk
WoH Monk
Searing Flames zhed

Simply flag ur heroes just within range and stand behind the wall near rotscale, have ur necros cast SS on multiple bone dragons and spam necrosis and PI on everyone. Once rotscale is the only one left standing bring u monks in and flag them where you were standing, chuck on ursan and spam that and the necros SV/SS till rotscale dies, no consumables.. 1 death because zhed decided he was gunna be a hero and take on rotscale solo

the other slot is optional for a hero of any kind.

I tried to vanquish this area once with only heroes and henchies.
Also used the search function and it was of no help.
Surprisingly though, I forgot which Rotscale wiki page it was (i think it was the unofficial wiki discussion page, click on the discussion tab), but it had a foolproof way to kill Rotscale, and with the build, you can pretty much vanquish it as well.

done it with 600/smite, i was 600 and had grenth balance. keep symbiosis up and GB him when you're at 300hp or so. quite easy if you ask. time your casting so he cant hit you while dazed. (i had purifying veil and recovery on, helps a lot)
