Vanguard Skills
Are any really worth using other then the standards? I've had some luck using them on my para but haven't really done much else with other skills.

That's good too. General usage skill good for everyone . It has some uses for example against monks as they're softies. Like the pesky Summit Healers. The others well, yeah not so much use for Paragons.

I hear mesmers can really dish it out with Echo + Vanguard assassin + Signet of illusions (if you dont have max rank yet). If you're really quick you can toss on Splinter Weapon on one of em for extra sauce.
I personally use signet of infection (with screaming shot) just for fun in my BHA+Epidemic build. Not sure the degen adds to much with the high HP mobs though so I change it around sometimes with other skills.

With a paragon the ebon vanguard ward that adds +damage for non spirit allies is great.
If you bring a mm just walk up to any group of enemies cast the ward and watch them die from all the mms attacks.
Ebon vanguard assassin is good too. Usually once you see a hex or condition on a caster enemy you throw that out there and watch them die quickly.

Ya i've used the assassin a lot. Also, didn't know that the standards affected minions. Does the +armor one do the same?
Btw, sorry for making it sound like i'm only talking about paras here. In fact, I mostly play war.

Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom for caster groups, good chance for 1/2 recharges. Honor for physicals or MM's pet to get the bonus and the Courage's armor bonus should also work for MM's.
As a warrior the Courage and Honor seem a more natural fit, as a Paragon if you have a lot of caster's try Wisdom but the others are just a viable on a moving turret =].

I started using sneak attack some, its a great way to keep something blinded. With a high enough ranking its incredibly cheap for the amount of time it keeps something blinded.

I also use sig of infection on my BHA+Epidemic combined with apply poison and screaming shot.
Vanguard Assassin rarely leaves my bar now. It is a good way to get enemy's to bunch for epidemic because you can cast it from outside agro, fire off all conditions and then charge in with the team.
Wards are pretty nice as will.... haven't really tried any others though
Sniper support is NOT good.

Honor works with spell damage as well which makes it incredible with Herta and her large amount of damage packets

Courage is unparalleled. It's a ward against elements that works on everything and costs 5 less energy.
In fact, the wards in general are so good it's worth giving up 3 slots to carry all of them.

Sneak Attack is one of my most used Lead Attacks. With a mere level 3 Ebon Vanguard title, you can keep someone permanently blinded.

The +damage ward is fun, was even better when I was vanquishing the breach and found that the minions were almost instant killing the charr. Minion damage +20 ftw.
