Yup. It's amazing how fast he goes down with this. I usually go Earth magic aswell and bring Ward Against Foes/Melee just to help keep him in place and protect the group a bit. Best thing to do is to keep the group fairly close together so if he switches targets he doesn't run out of the AoE. He'll go down so fast it's rediculous. Going Air magic and hitting him with Blinding Flash as often as possible also helps avoid damage. Just make sure nobody brings any massively powerful armour ignoring spells like Odsidian Flame or he'll nuke you into oblivion when he starts double striking with Battle Scars on.
EDIT: One thing i've just remembered. It's true that SV, SS, Empathy, IP, etc... will kill him very fast but there is one major drawback to that method. Meditation of the Reaper. You need a reliable way to bring him out of it otherwise you're toast. With SV, SS, etc.. he is required to act in order to receive the damage. When he's in Meditation he won't take any damage because he's not attacking anyone so you'll need some way of hurting him fast in a more conventional manner. Just thought i'd add that.

2-4 eles with echo chains (echo, arcane echo), use the echoes to chain celestial storm. That drops him rly quick. Necro with [skill]spoil victor[/skill], really helps to bring shiro down fast. Wild blow on a dervish or warrior, even assassin helps.
You can also get few warriors and a few assassins to run in and chain their celestial skills, that drops him in like 5-10 seconds. (make sure every one mobs him)

Yes for the warrior no for the assassin. The assassin one is like useless for most people. But it really doesn't matter.
Go by yourself with henchies. Take all the warrior and ele ones and a monk.
It is all about when he goes in to the meditation skill. If he does it before your henchies use a celestial skill, you win. If he does it after, you loose. I find with my assassin you basicaly get a masters 50% of the time and die in about 11 seconds the rest of the time.

Actualy assassins are pretty good... had 2 human assassins on our team with 2 celestial assassins and whipped shiro in a minute.

This is all you need:
Zenmai (or if youre the sin)
- Any lead
- Wild Strike (offhand)
- Critical Strike or Death Blossom (zealous daggers for DB) (dual)
- Moebius Strike (offhand)
- Wild Blow
- Flail
- Critical Defenses
- Anything for 8th
Wild strike and and Blow is perfect for Hardmode, Also if you dont want to wreck the dualattack-moebius chain, use wild blow. Just beat on shiro until he is below 50%, then spam your Dual attack and Moebius over and over, make sure to keep shiro on you (or zenmai), with crit defenses and flail up at all times.
Master Of Whispers - Or Olias
- Spoil Victor
- Insidious Parasite
- Signet of Lost Souls
Just make sure the hexes are up all the time, your hero will use signet when it can when hes below 50%.
Then depending on your class. Play as much damage as you can as possible.
Bring 1 monk hero with healing/prot points.
and bring non ele, necro and mesmer henchmen.
i got 2:16 in hardmode, that was masters.

I did it in normal mode with monk hero and as wiki says: Take the rest as Henchmen (2 warriors, 2 mesmers, 2 necros). Me as ele with Savannah heat, celestial skill (meditation ends in a sec) and Pain inverter .
In HM I took same skills, but since I didn't succeeded in couple of tries with the same team - I took 1 necro hero instead of hench with Spoil victor and Insidious Parasite. Time 2:04 even faster than I did it in NM.
Gates of Madness Shiro is much easier to beat with H/H than with PUG - Tried both ways - took me 1 try with H/H and had no luck with PUG (5-6 tries).

I don't know what profession you are but I use a sin and can solo him in 6 min, or use 2 necro heroes to kill him in less then 2:30 time. My build has hish dmg/fast recharge attacks, wild strike included, with critical agility and critical defenses, only 3 skills really matter, wild strike, critical defenses, and critical agility. rest of the skills you just got to make sure that you have no conditions and some healing. My necros run SS and SV, with only 5 skills total, one of which is rez sig in case something goes wrong. Reason why they need 5 skills only, or 4 since rez sig isnt a spell, is so that they dont use up all their eng so fast. The only problem with shiro in factions is his medition, which is why you need a sin/war in the party. If your not a melee, i suggest bring a war hero with wild blow and 2 necros, unless ur a necro urself.
For the nightfall shiro, a SV necro *set up with the solo farming build or something like that* can easily solo shiro, since he doesnt have meditation.

i gank killed him hm with 8 warriors with there celestial skill. sins work well for this to. this can take anywhere from 30 sec -3 min depending on luck of what skills he uses. and the crits ure team gets off (i think lol)
