Well, i runned that mission for tips with my 3heroes in HM<-- and NM when im low in cash...i cant really tell u the builds but with careful thinking u guys can come up with one urself. i need the other people to help too, too bad they cant afk..if they co-operate, its 99.999% masters in <1min

P.S: i think im gonna run this mission again since i needed cash to buy a destroyer bow and a bow of the hierophant, if u guys need any run, i can run u for tips...just pm me in guru and btw, my time zone is GMT+8 S'pore..zzz

Lol, what do you mean wiki way doesn't work. I took my Warrior, 3 Warrior Heroes, 2 Warrior Henchmen, 2 Necro Henchmen, and owned him.

No idea if OP has completed this, but here's my story. I've defeated Shiro before with 3 different characters without any problems using henchies. Returning to GW after almost a year away, I recreated an assassin (previous sin was deleted after completing Factions in favour of an Ele). Reached Shiro last night, and guildie and I (with heroes) had a tough time with him. Lost count on the number of times we failed. We finally managed to beat him twice though with standard reward - second time had to be done because idiot me didn't bring enough materials for Elite Cantha armour.

Don't recall Shiro being so difficult, and I did think he got buffed up since.

Anyway, in my trip through Factions again (normal mode), I got Masters in all the missions first time and I really wanted to get Masters for this mission.

Loaded up this morning and took the following team.

1. Monk Hero - LoD + Holy Haste, and some Protection;
2. Monk Necro - Spoil Victor, Insidious Parasite and Reckless Haste.
3. Devona
4. Lukas
5. Sheena
6. Seaguard Hala
7. Kai Ying

Took the celestial skill and went in. Defeated Shiro first go without a problem and got Master. I thought it was just luck, so I went in again with the same setup. This time a little longer than previous run, Shiro didn't seem to like me, as I spent most of the time eating dirt and waiting for res.

Nevertheless, did it in 2:24 which is Master.

I did browse Wiki for tips and the advice there does work.

My word of advice is do this with just hero/hench. Me and my girlfriend tried it together and he would constantly banish us and do meditation of the reaper nearly non stop. We had ss, sv and even a blinder ele all on him but he'd just manage to use meditation of the reaper every time he's near death and then battle scars to heal up.

However he doesn't use either just about if you go alone with hero/hench.

2 necros 1 with spiteful spirit 1 with Spoil victor.
bring a mesmer too (the hench 1 is fine) he can use Empathy which has just been buffed so Shiro will go down even faster now.

or

Arcane Echo, Echo,Celestial Storm.
Bring multiple eles with that, and maybe 1 with umm a water snare
1 with like ...WILD BLOW

just make up a team that has : stance remover, blind, sv, ss, empathy, and possibly monk with heal party+healer's boon.

you'll be cruising.....

On the Shiro topic, when you fight him and the Lich in Madness, I notice he become extremely difficult to kill once he is down in health (Battle Scars aside!). I help a lot of guild members out with killing Shiro in Factions and in Nightfall, and he can be beat. There are way too many ways to defeat him, and I am beginning to question your builds, bro!

On another note, I know you are not supposed to, but I managed to knock Shiro down in Madness. That was my highlight in guildwars PvE!

I am just curious here, but does [skill]Shelter[/skill] protect against the (huge) damage that comes from Shiro's Meditation of the Reaper monster skill?

Im pretty sure pain inverter doesn't work on him. Could be wrong though.

Small tip, if you are going to Echo the Celestial Skill, unload the first on Shiro, then dump the second on summoned creature. They act as bosses, so when they are killed - voila! all skills recharged including both Celestial skills

Bring Wild blow, all the N/Me henchies you can get and a Mo henchman,dies QuickQuick.

I didn't have heroes at the time, but you can bring them, a sv would be nice.

I took all hero/henchies:
1 Dervish-myself
2 Henchie Archers
4 Warriors.
And of course Mehnlo comes with you.
I took them in order to up my chances of being banished so I could explore for Cantha Cartographer title.
I ended up beating shiro with experts reward without even trying. >_>
