Vanquishing Tyria
there are some places that i think are nigh impossible to vanquish... although i have already seen legendary vanquishers so they are possible...
the first one it comes to mind is the tiny land between granite citadel and mineral springs... i have never been able(nor given to much importance) to kill that big mob in the middle...
you guys(who are good enough to vanquish that part) have any special tactic? i tried to lure in normal mode but once i lure one guy, fifteen come and i don't want that in hard mode :P
sorry if this was asked somewhere else... if it has... post the link and close this thread please...

First the area you are talking about is tascas demise. And it will be your demise too, but you can overcome this. If you stack defence such as Watch yourself/Shields up and things like protective spirit and spirits like union and shelter, many things should be easier. That rule can go anywhere you are vanquishing. Also remember clovers and candy canes :P.

anshin,
I can ask around in my guild if people need the area and pm you ingame or on the forum when I can get a team together.
Please leave a message on the forum if you are interested, I try to schedule something in our guild.
For all who are interested:
Please post in this thread when you can play and with what profession, you might be able to put some teams together without me and my guildies.
Area to vanquish: Tasca's Demise.
Me: Mesmer or Monk, GMT+1 starting from 7PM, not available before this Friday.

Finished vanquishing tyria around week ago.
Simple guideline is this: Have one, dedicated tank in your team which can take insane amounts of damage. When you have it and all the mobs are around the tank, they are easy to nuke with sf, ss and other stuff. Healer's Boon monk also helps a lot.
Standart setup:
Tank
Nuker
Nuker
Nuker
Curses
Communing ritu or motivation para
Zealous benediction-prot
Healer's Boon

If your doing it with Hero/Hench
1 Smoke Trapper (me)
2 SF Elementalists
1 Minion Master
Alesia
Lina
Orion
Claude
Its great fun watching the mob of 10+ Stone Summit w/ 3 Dolyak Masters disappear in less than 20 seconds
Course if you go with real people its even easier... replace Alesia/Lina with hero monks and replace Claude/Orion with yet more SF eles (or 1 SF ele and whatever profession your friend is).
The Hero/Hench version did me proud for Dreadnoughts Drift/Lornars too, so it will work.
Tanks are for noobs
Course you can always just replace something with the Godmode Paragon build... "OQGjUumGKTWYxgAh9YzgoYpbubA"

I vanquished Elona first because I thought it was the hardest. I have started on Tyria and find it almost imposable.
WHAT am I missing guys, maybe the tank needs be more tank, less dervish wane be.
Is there some skill that helps in Tyria that I have over looked? Seems to be that me and mine are pink alot here in Tyria, ie hexed.

tascas demise and mineral springs are way easier to vanquish with the titan quest up. the stone summit and titans fight eachother.

Im vanquishing tyria at the moment, and me tanking with sab's 3 necro build I am wasting each zone with ease..
I am now doing the desert then south shiverpeaks.. but the only thing that stops me from a vanquish is when I can't find a last patrol and leave it running overnight - DC
But kamikaze chickens build is somewhat like what a friend used, they had no problems

I'm looking to do the VQ through Snake Dance, Dreadnought and Lornar with H+H, but I haven't hit a good setup yet. Casters have issues with the amout of spellbreaker, minions suffer horribly in snakedance from the masses of holy damage.
Debating (for heroes) dual paragon and a blood necro perhaps? Anyone done this and have advice? My main is a ranger with every skill unlocked.

I did Drifts and Lornar's starting from warcamp with the Necro team and Caster heroes (Cynn, Dun, Eve + Mhenlo) as a BHA ranger. Worked out well enough. Had most problems with the big dwarf groups but with good pulls I was able to handle them.
Be sure to go at a time when the world has favour and use the blessings from the shrine of Dwanya in Drift and the shrine of Grenth in Lornar's.

Lornar's Pass has one difficult three monk group, each monk with Heal Other and Mark of Protection. You may want to bring at least one copy of Shadow Shroud in addition to Defile Flesh/Malign Intervention/Lingering Curse on your necros.
