Guildwiki has a few things to say about ride the lightning- "Probably a reference to Ky Kiske's "Ride the Lightning" super from the Guilty Gear series of fighting games, as it has almost exactly the same effect. Both these skills are likely named after the Metallica song of the same name." or does it not count since RtL is a factions skill. also, the ugly stick, which is a reference to the phrase beaten with the ugly stick.

1 more thing. guildwiki also tells about the ogre slaying knife- "This weapon is a reference to an audio skit made by the Dead Alewives, a comedy group. In the skit, which is about Dungeons & Dragons, one character proudly announces that he has such a knife - "It's got a plus nine against ogres!" This skit was reproduced in the game Summoner by Volition and, more recently, by 8-bit Theatre fans under the title 8-bit D&D."

Get a Black Moa bird as a pet. go to NF just outside of the sunspear..somethign (near kamadan) where the pet tamer guy is boasting about his encounter with a black moa. walk up to him with ur pet and he freaks out and runs away. I like to look for in-game bosses that have skills named after them.. Bonetti, the boss can be found somewhere outside the Sanitarium in old Ascalon and Verta can be found on Kessex Peak. Bonetti is only like lvl 10 but Verta is a pita. May not be easter eggs, but still cool.

Grabthar's Hammer, a weapon dropped by Grabthar the Overbearing in the forum highlands, refers to the movie Galaxy Quest. (with Dr. Lazarus saying "By Grabthar's hammer, by the sons of Warvan, you shall be avenged!").
The skills "Never give up!" and "Never surrender!" also refer to Galaxy quest.
(From a quote of Captain Peter Quincy Taggart: "Never give up, never surrender." )

I don't know if this will belong here since it isn't really an easter egg but more of a pop culture reference. It's about everybody's favorite Tanking ele Zhed from Nightfall. Here goes...
Me and some guildies were vanguishing in tyria when Zhed breaks through the lines and tried to go toe to toe with some Frost Griffons. Needless to say Zhed tips over. To which I reply over vent " Zhed is dead baby, Zhed is dead." Now I'm not saying the only reason Anet isn't taking a look at Zhed's AI is to keep the Pulp Fiction reference viable. But in a slightly twisted way it makes sense.

One of Devona's new sayings in GWEN is, "Good...bad...I'm the girl with the big hammer."; or something to that effect. An obvious reference to Army of Darkness.

OK I found something silly in the Tyrian lands, It's sort of a Play on words in Filipino. But it's too funny. There's an Ele boss named Alana pekpek. Now it's pretty bastos (means perverted in filipino) Alana is short for Walana which means "no more" and "pekpek" is slang for a lady's "area" err yeah that place.
It's pretty funny. No more pekpek!

A select Mesmer face/hair combo looks unbelievably close to Orlando Bloom. For real, Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean.
