I'm wanting to know why Gwen is in the game, and why her mother is in the UW. I've found her broken flute post-searing before, and I kept it on one character, but from what I hear, there are 2 or 3 more items you can find related to Gwen?
BTW, if there's another thread about this, a link would do.

I look foward to seeing more 'Gwen stuff' in the future as the game progresses.
Until then, have a look here for information pertaining to the mini-bint with the flute. :P

I just noticed the merchant in Copperhead is named Krogur.
I wonder if he is related the Kroger fellow with all the groceries?

Philos does in fact mean Lover in Greek as in Philos Deliphia or Philadephia the 'City of Brotherly Love'. But they had messed up ideas of Love and Friendship, so that isn't TOO bad a translation. But the modern word philosophy is accepted as meaning 'Love of Knowledge'.
In other news, I must add that Shith Mal Hacto has a few interesting anagrams:
Aha! Cloth Smith.
Halo Hats Mitch.
Hal Itch To Mash
Ah, Sam Hit Cloth!
Almost Hath Chi
Athsma Hitch, Lo!
Atom Hitch Lash
Hit Hal Stomach
Um, none of them really seem to apply though...

I actually found some kind of interesting stuff on Shith Mal Hacto. The name Shith means "the gift of god". Shith was also one of the prophets in the bible.(or somthing like that)http://www.aicp.org/IslamicInformati...earYouth04.htm
That is the site I found that on.(just scroll down to the part that says A prophet of islam)
Then I came up with a couple things for Mal.
mal-
pref.
1. Bad; badly: maladminister.
2. Abnormal; abnormally: malformation
mal (ml, mäl)
n.
1. A disease or disorder.
There was some other stuff to, but I didn't think it fit. If you wish to see the rest though, then just go to Dictionary.com and put in Mal. Ok, now hacto, I got nothing. Really the only thing I could find is that it was a trade association founded in 1983. Yeah, and that's pretty much it.

Can't believe no one's mentioned this yet, but Tyria is the name of a city in the Song of Ice and Fire series. It's on the map near Valyria.

From an online Catholic Encyclopedia:
Ascalon
"It was one of the five chief cities of the Philistines (Josue, xiii, 3). Its location, on the sea-coast between Gaza and Jamnia made it a stronghold, and as such it was held by the Arabs after their conquest of it in the seventh century. The city was taken by the crusaders, but was destroyed, in 1270, by Sultan Bihars, and its port blocked up to prevent the place ever again falling into Christian hands. Its extensive ruins still remain, and present a scene of mournful desolution."
So even the historical Ascalon seems to have fallen on hard times, although I don't see any record of it getting blasted by large crystal meteors...

Those are great. I wonder if he says anything differently according to gender/profession?
Also, nice murals of the gods. I've seen a few of them, but never Balthazar, Lyssa or Melandru. I saw Dwayna and Grenth at my guild hall. Grenth was actually in a window, and Dwayna on an upright piece of stone identical to that.

The flaming statues are not the Mursaat. There's not a single thing pointing to them being Mursaat. The closest anyone can hook those statues up to is the lich. And if you compare the searing crystals to Mursaat material.. Well, you'll immediately pick up the difference.

actually if you watch that scene from pulp fiction the dance with vince and the other one are almost exactly the dances of the warriors (male and female).
if anyone watched sin city the ranger dance is basically that one strippers dance in the night club, the one the cop went to jail for like 10 years over (forget the name)
