Shith Mal Hacto ? Sounds very much like a spell used in the Ultima series of games.

Hahaha! I thought you said skirt, so I made a pre-searing character and took off everything but the skirt. Hahahaha! Thats a classic right there... I'll never forget that.

I don't believe it was the homeworld of the Zerg, and it had only one r, Char. The homeworld was soemthing else.. But I'm not digging out my Starcraft manual to find out. But those statues they erect that resemble titans do sort of look like a zergling.
And on an off-topic note, I agree with everyone who believes the lich caused the searing. Lich needs an army? Destroy Orr. Instant undead army. Mursaat stopping Chosen from fulfilling the prophecies? Force the Chosen from Ascalon.

USS Charr (SS/AGSS-328), a Balao-class submarine, was a ship of the United States Navy named for the charr, a trout of the waters of northwestern North America.
That is what charr is named after

About the lookalikes in the game: Anyone else think that the Erol the Mage, in the Ruins of Surmia mission, looks like Jeremy Irons?

No, thats what you assume it was named after. Like 90% of the things on this forum, its purely speculation.

Actually I don't assume it was named after anything, I just don't think about it(except when I am posting in here), it isn't that important.

This thread is cool. I haven't read all through it yet, but I will do when I have more time. If someone has mentioned this, then forgive me, but I haven't seen this and I doubt it.
At the Temple of the Ages, South of Divinity Coast, there is an NPC called Brother Theophilus. He happens to be the one who talks about all the various deities there.
Well, to just describe his name, because as Theophania, my name is closely related. 'Theo' means 'god', whereas philus, or phillia, is from a latin word used for love (at least I think, hence the rather unsavory words necrophillia and paedophillia). His name litterally means 'loved of God'.
As for my own name, Theophania means 'manifestaion of God'. While I'm at it, Firvinyr is an elven name meaning 'dark storm bringer', created with the help of the 'Races of the Wild' D&D suppliment.

Guys... about the Charr... They worship fire. Char is a word related to fire. It's most likely (and I'm not saying it IS) that Charr is just Char with an extra "r" to make it not so generic. That's my GUESS.

philos is Greek and means friend! Theo is Greek too and means "god"! So Theophilus would mean "Friend of God"! Which makes sense!

anyone noticed that theres a guard just outside lions arch called Riddik?
that had me laffing for a while, till i saw the lass called Damaris, when i laffed even more
(damaris, the name of the femail kender that tasslehoff burfoot was supposed to mary)
also, anyone remeber the old red box DnD? wasnt the healer cleric in that named Alesia? (who gets killed ether way you chose the storyline, so heheh...thats our alesia hehe)
as to the dancing....
male n femail fighters, yeah, its john and uma doing pulp fiction^^
male rangers, its called break dancing, and was popular in the eightys
yeah, the lady necros do the zombie dance from thriller
and the elementalist ladies are doing a modified hula-hula
shame there isnt a way to do other peoples dances, or add them. i woud say swap the ele girls with the fighters, them give the fighters the mens war dance from new zeland it would fit in with the hula then ^^
(and, hehe, they *are* warriors, lol)

Ah, cool. I knew it was either greek or latin, but wasn't sure which. I did make sure to double check before I posted by looking it up in a name dictionary, and just under Theophania is Theophila (feminine version) and Theophilus. There it says 'loved of God', but I assume that translationally it could be either. When I saw it initially I thought it might have been lover of gods, which would have also fitted.
I thought it was quite cool though. Got me excited. :P

My "Peace and Harmony" build doesnt carry a weapon, because i am too stupid and will attack once in awhile.
so when we killed rurik in the last mission and he asks for a coup de grace
and the cam zooms on my monk, it makes the clickety sound and says: "You have to equip a weapon to attack." and no final blow is delivered
i am that peaceful, after all
