Yes, exactly. I remember trying to get masters on this on my war (Foreign Quarter) and I found out the other group were complete noobs (most were below lvl 20) and had dumb stuff like a trapper
So bad they were that they wiped at the second last area so my party of H/H had to take on both swarms of Afflicted (no deaths but it was a epic battle).
In the end I missed out on masters by 7 seconds.
I redid it in HM and cruised through with no deaths on my side. It's sad when a complete group of henchman in HM is more competent than a group of real-life players in NM

Almost exact same experience as blue.rellik.
Did masters last night in HM with 5 minutes to spare.
Sad when HM is much easier than NM because you can almost guarantee you'll be alone in HM.

Yes, its very true that HM is easier because you can guarantee a henchie team for yourself on the other side.
Apart from that, i dont see how its very difficult in NM..
Me + guildie did it together.. ran Sabway + Ractway. The other team died off completely and we still got masters.

For me, the hardest thing about doing this mission is trying to get into it with no human player(s) on the other team. I tend to run into players that go afk or quit or resign.
So now I do it, and Unwaking Waters, in the Asian district where you have virtually the whole game to yourself - no lag, no spam, very few other players.
Minion Masters are a great help; load them up with a couple of fast recharging animate skills. Park yourself near Togo, but keep an eye on where Mhenlo is. He thinks he needs to attack enemies. Unfortunately, when they attack him back he either dies or runs straight to you bringing that pack of enemies with him. That's his standard MO anyway.
Glitches? This mission is full of them and you may have to restart even when there are no other humans in the mission besides yourself. I recently had Togo not move after the first battle because he was waiting for a peasant to turn into an Afflicted and the peasant never did.
One last thing about this mission: Just in case you think you might EVER be interested in a Cartography title, run along the walls on the left after the last battle all the way to the end of the mission. You'll uncover a large chunk of territory. You won't have to take a character back to visit the lovely Vizunah Square and you won’t need to get into the Jade Quarry.

Someone's going to love me when I finally get to this mission and take my MM Rit though it from the local side.

Hardest part for me is trying to get Mhenlo and Togo to actually MOVE. They love to hang in doorways and have conversations or throw heals at other NPCs.
Last guild run missed master's by 4 seconds! and included at least 3 minutes of us all standing around wondering if Mhenlo was ever going to move (and yes, we moved the MMs far ahead so Mhenlo doesn't stand there healing the minions!)

I wasn't fast enough to do this mission with just one mm, when i brought two mm it was smooth sailing.

I prefer to go and get Liv for new characters, considering you need to get to the docks and then train Olly up, I just prefer the run to Gadd's and then Finding the Bloodstone.
And Liv is a hell of a lot easier to look at than ol' ugly.
I took my assassin through the other night with no MM and still came in with about 3 minutes to spare, so it is perfectly possible. Hate to think how fast it would have been with a Moebius/Death Blossom assassin.

Choose an odd district - Asia/Traditional Chinese, and use a H/H team and hope for a full non-human team on the other side. Easiest win for that mission.
Ah, Minion Master ftw. Hell, even take a Wells Necro as well...plenty of bodies.

I tried this mission last night (local) and it was so easy for me.....
the human player from the foreign one though was only level freaking 5 and had an all henchman team, while I had vekk, odgen, olias and henchman (spirt, earth, healer and fighter)
he didn't do much in the first fight but in the second fight, I think he tried to help and got lucky (as in surving, he got lucky >_> ), I did so much better with my assassin than I did with my warrior (death blossom FTW )
however the fun came to an end, just before the last battle, Togo got stuck and we couldn't face the last battle because of it so I have to start the mission again >_< good thing is though I didn't know you could get Shadow form in that mission til I looked on wiki so I will get that this time.
I want to try raptor farming with this sin....this way I can try and learn how to do it and it won't ciost me anything unlike the underworld >_< (I made this assassin before the Shadow form buff so don't think I made it just for farming purposes like some probably have <_< )
edit: just did it, got both shadow form and beat the mission on masters with a full henchman team, I had to flag Olias away just to get mhenlo to stop healing >_<

Ugh.
I went though it twice yesterday. One local with my MM Rit, and once foreign with my Paragon.
The paragon group suffered from a dumb foreign team that outran Togo at the beginning so he sat there till I called the team back. We finished in just over 27 minutes.
My Rit's local team suffered from a bad PUG guy who tried to outrun the group, and got himself killed. My first clue should have been that he wanted to take 2 monks in addition to my henchie monk. The foreign team wasn't great either. 2 MMs (me and Olias), a nuker Ele, and a good monk build wasn't enough.
next time, I'm throwing Charge on somebody, just so we can speed up the walking parts.

i had a foreign team, using my three heroes and four players. we got an all hench local team. this is on my survivor paragon, btw.
no one was ever close to dying. but ... we missed master's by 9 seconds. mostly because i forgot to bring a stance-removal skill to kill the am fah assassins and we were mostly physical damage. also, minion masters -- while helpful -- slow things down quite a bit. my heroes were a jagged bones minion bomber using bone minions with dwayna's sorrow from healing prayers, a spiteful spirit/order of pain/barbs necro, and an ether renewal prot. E/Mo. was all the healing we needed, along with my imbagon using WY! instead of SY!

Mmm, Mhenlo still thinks he's the tank at the second Afflicted ambush . . . trouble is, some weeks ago it seems like all the henchmen and heroes AI went completely retarded and they lock onto the FIRST target they see and will NOT retarget. If that target happens to be lower/higher and require walking around and up a stair or ramp . . . they go halfway there, come back, and bounce between until I leave the area behind.
Has anyone else experienced this, or do I have an unproducable problem on my hands?

Happened to just missed masters on my sin, other team was henchie, but once they delivered Mhenlo they all ran for the hills.
Was lucky a friend was helping me and we had 2 Minion Master heros and actually lived to finish it in normal mode.

Yeah - I've noticed that, though I don't know if it's particularly new behavior. Jin, as well as Devona, would leeroy half-way across my radar to attack red dots that weren't even part of the mob we were engaging. (This wasn't in Vizunah, though - just in general.) The AI gets weird every few weeks or so - monks just standing there with a full bar, full energy, watching, or healing party members who are only down 20% while the one down 90% gets ignored. Stuff like that.

If there were players on the other team, its possible the h/h were following the attacks of a player on the other side? We know hench will follow the other team and respond to their calls, though I think your heroes are supposed to prioritize what you are doing. I would guess if a h/h tried to respond to a player on the other team they would try to run to the target, but about halfway would then run back to you because they always follow the controlling player.

Agree completely. At least one MM helps majorly. I've always done better with henchmen secondary group mainly because they know where to go and actually do so. I also like starting from the Local Quarter, but everyone has their own likes and dislikes on where to start.
It may also be helpful to have an interrupter in case you get the Afflicted Ritualist, Elementalist or Monk bosses.

I was capping the Assassin elite in NM (local quarter) and the other team was full hench, but after the fight and they delivered Mhenlo they all ran back to their start area. Did not see them again.
Anyone else have that problem? This is the 3rd time this has happened to me.
