What's the latest point I should hand in a completed Normal Mode Handbook/MDG?

Specifically, if I have, say, 79,000 Norn Points (rank 7), and hand in a completed Normal Mode Master Dungeon Guide (worth 40,000 Points) to the Norn guy, will I end up with:
a) 119,000 Norn Points (rank 9), no points wasted
b) 80,000 Norn Points (just at rank 8), with 39,000 points wasted

you will end up w 119k points if you hand in your nm book at 79k....after that its all hm.

as long as you haven't already hit the cap, you can still hand in NM books and get full credit for them.

you get 20,000 rep points and 40,000exp for a full normal handbook

He's right about the 40k rep, it's for a master dungeon guide. It WILL put you to 119k and will not cap at 80.

If it were a hero handbook, it would be 20k.

like everyone said previously you will not max. Just as long as you get close to 80,000 without reaching that number you will not be capped. So you can get as close to 79,999 and still add 20k, 40k, etc. on top of it. Although that might be risky considering how you gain those points to reach that number.

Since I was running dungeons and stuff, I was able to hand in a nm handbooks for delver, etc @ around 79k. I also traded in a nm dungeon @79k for my asuran track and instant rank 9. Good way to jump start hm point farming.
