Try using the builds at the top in the first post, only switch dolyak with Physical resistance, as it's a little easier with that.

Mesmer skill I see, I thought it was an Ranger skill. Sorry for the n00b mistake, I only have 2 chars, Warrior/Monk and Necro/Monk. Didn't know mesmer skills
how many point do I put in Inspiration Magic ?
Is my shield enough? I have a Sunreach Shield with Damage -5 ( 20% ), 30 Hp Always.

Just put enough points in inspiration for the duration of Physical Resistance to outlast the recharge. You won't be taking elemental damage, so pumping Inspiration has no effect.

If you put in 0 points you will get:
For 30 seconds, you gain +40 armor against physical damage, but you lose 24 armor against elemental damage.
The recharge is 20 secs So no points needed in inspiration.

Correct, but if you aren't using a zealous weapon or using a lot of energy based skills, you can run in to energy problems. Putting your leftover points in inspiration is optimal.

I'm using a Wing's Axe ( its zealous ) and a Sunreach Shield. Will this be enough? Or do I really need to get the -2 stance shield. The Sunreach's stats are:
Armor: 16 (Requires 9 Tactics)
Received damage -5 (Chance: 20%)
Health +30

The thing with scales is that you have to be patient and thats all there is to it.
The spiders are a walk in the park for probably anyone and after a couple of practice or successful runs and you
can tank all the spiders at the same time no problems once you get used to it if you choose to but getting there
has always been the only thing thats caused problems for me and mostly due to the scales
There is no trick to it it's just a matter of 1. a decent bit of a lucky spawn and 2. patience is the key.

adding to Cybernetic's point, the reason you must be patient is because the skales have this massive patrol route, if you wait long enough you may be able to sneak past and avoid aggro completely, however this can take a long time, or a short time, depends on luck. So yeah basically follow Cybernetic's advice and just wait it out.
If you DO aggro the skales, the key is to just keep jogging until they are ALMOST out of your aggro circle, THEN hit sprint and you drop aggro a damn site quicker, so then you just wait a few seconds and shrug off life transfer, then wait a little longer for Life Siphon to wear off, and then carry on

Would Ascalon armour be just as effective for reducing damage, or is Legionnaire's armor a must?

Anyone here that uses Lion's Comfort for healing? I might start doing some runs again with Flail and Lion's Comfort, but I don't know if i should use Triple Chop + Cyclone Axe or a Dragon Slash sword adrenaline build.

Hello,
First run since update and had the Shadow army chasing me all over Dodge,
my has this changed, made it to the cave on my 2nd try and the cave is
still the same, but trying to shake aggro is tricky.
I had some Shadow army guys that were off my compass but when I went back
toward the "big rock/road to the beach" here they would come, so I sprinted
North past rock then around the top road to basically confuse the mess of
SA and then down the road to the beach. Question how long does it take
to break aggro for something, even with it off your compass?? or you just
can't with certain enemies??
Anyways cleared the cave and got 3 shards from the armored spideys, no
gems, which is what I was hopping for.

I actualy gained a friend ship using those shadow beasts now that they chase me more often. I always get a mark of pain on me right when I hit the first 3 driftwoods. This mark of pain takes the driftwoods down below 50% health and almost killing them. They then run back to me almost dead and mark of pain wears off and I just finish them quickly. So their "nerf" actualy made killing the first 3 dryders easier, and when the shadow follow me even further, I drag the scale into the fight. The shadow usually destroys the dryder, driftwoods, and scale. This makes me a nice little camping ground to plan my next move across the beach ontoward the cave.

Thanks to Flail, it is definatly a safe move to drop HH for "Shield's Up!" and then replace Standing Slash+FT with S&M Slash+Dragon Slash.

I did it with Quivering for a long time, then tried Dragon Slash + Sskai's Sword. Let me tell you, getting ALL your adrenaline attacks recharged immediately (+5 adrenaline x2 when Furious procs) is very very nice.
Still use the w/me phys resistance personally. I just wear knight's chest and leggings so that 60% of the hits are -3. Geoffers is a good shield when you're using Heal Sig, but i still can't say for certian if the +10 vs piercing is better than the 2 in stance of my other shield.
Of course america NEVER has favor when I'm at home, so it's kinda moot anyway.
