i havnt made any full runs in a long time... usualy get d/c or error a lil after the cave enterance...anets little way of stopping fow spider farming

Wow, w/ triple chop and and cyclone, mobs of spiders when set up correctly drop down so frickin fast, its fantastic. I haven't tried whirling axe yet, but from its description, it might make it go even faster.

I only did 1 run after so long, mainly to spend my 2 keys left on chest... there were no chest and the drops were lousy, manage to get 3 shard ^^; normally I get about 15-22 corrosive legs, I only got 11 this time, and steel seem to have been nerfed in terms of their salvage rate. I use to get them all the fricken time. Just need to spend my last 2 keys, then its probly gg to spider farming.

I've made two spider runs today, killing all the driftwood+spiders (duh!) and still havent gotten any obsidian shards.. is it just me or has the new recent update done something to the drops?

Did two runs last night with a fellow Warrior. 3 shards on the first run and one in the second. I've not done enough of FoW to know if this is good or bad.

3 I would consider to be the "standard". Combined with the other drops, minus the 1 plat to enter it's about 10k profit. Pretty good for under an hour (if you're quick.

Or if you have Triple Chop. My runs are regularly under 50 minutes with that skill, and I'm not even amazingly quick. Bunch the Spiders up good at the cave mouth, take out the Dryders before running back down for the Spiders inside the cave, and I reckon 35 minutes is possible - maybe less.

I think we're all in agreement that 2 shards per run is the average over the long haul.

Just to let you guys know, there is a boss right outside of Zhivros Channel named Geoffer Pain Bringer who drops an Embossed Aegis called Geoffer's Bulwark with 16 AL, req 9 tactics, HP +30, and..............ARMOR +10 VS. PIERCING. He is just a little northwest of the exit, and is easily soloable with the Sskai soloing build. He has a few goonies with him that are melee fighters, but they are relatively weak. Here is more info on the shield:
