A bit further down I wrote that I modified the build to compensate for my lack of optimal equipment, which works out just as well as if I was equipped with top-of-the-line stuff. Having a +10 Piercing/-2 Stance shield wouldn't help that much, I'd rather have the 300k instead.
About Healing Spring and spiders, I found that standing adjacent to one (in GW terminology) is enough to stop it from using HS. It's easy to overestimate this distance, so if a spider starts using HS, you're too far away.

What are you talking about? The standard build doesn't need a +10/-2 shield. I use a -2 stance/-2 hexed shield for the run and against Dryders, switching to Grog's Shield against ACSs only, and I still take zeros almost every time. Dolyak Sig is overkill.

Nevermind the exaggeration. Anyways, Watch Yourself steals one strike of adrenaline from Galrath/Final every 9-10 seconds so I prefer something that's free to use and more effective (and makes all of the spiders' arrows -0, Healing Sig or not).

We can add that to my req 8 & 9's, which are 15<50 Shadow Blade, Chaos Axe, FDS, and Shadow Bow.(I wouldn't be so jaded if they were 20<50) I've never found a 15>50 anything out of the countless chests I've opened. I've wasted at LEAST 100K on keys, and probably found another 30K worth or so.

I do the run 2 times per day on average. Got a 20% charr slaying sword pommel and a +30 hale staff head today.
I seriously think my luck is on a different level than most. I wonder about that sometimes - no one else I know gets drops like I do.

When I do this, I use 15 str, 12 swords, and 11 tactics. I just tried using Frenzy instead of Flurry and had no problem, as long as I only aggroed 2 dryders at a time.

but jamy's a newb and he just likes frenzy! (j/k)
But nah I can't .seem to kill the spiders, i hear that they do no dmg with all the stances and stuff butthey still kill me, I also use balth's insted of zealous hilt. seems to work well. but I started today and made 12 plat killing no spiders, so just gettin there makes a profit.

... until a Dryder strips it.
If you can't kill a Spider one-on-one, then this run is not for you.

Heal before your health hits 50%, I bet you are fighting to much and not healing
enough, I find soloing high lvl monsters require a "focus" on healing at right times
when starting out. Don't worry about how fast monsters are dropping or I almost have
this one dead, just a couple more hits, you risk yourself doing that. Go try and solo
Titans out of LA for awhile and them throw blind on you and you will quickly get an
idea of healing versus fighting.
