Would this work to kill Duncan the Black?
I was recently in a PUG that killed Duncan in NM. I was a Permasin acting as tank (grasping earth and caltrops). I also had swap for the spirits.
Once we got to Duncan I noticed that the spirits couldn't touch me in Shadow Form, which made swapping them a snap.
Now to my question:
What if I actually swapped all the spirits around Duncan. I think there are atleast 20. What would happen if I stood next to Duncan and used Silver Armour with all those Spirits attacking me?
Unless I'm missing something, Duncan should be toast. Not sure about Duncan just killing me, but he should take damage from the Silver Armour and Spirits correct?
When I tanked I just stood next to Duncan and attacked to try and distract him. He just ignored me, and I lived. Not sure if I'm the only one there if he would then be able to kill me.
Thoughts?

Damage dealt to Duncan is reflected back to the source. You'd instagib yourself first.

interesting idea - you'd just need a reliable self heal ala shadow refuge and feigned or something to that effect. id also swap the recups out of range since they dont attack and help him regen

you would need 7 monks with hb+dwayna's kiss/infuse to keep you alive through the 20000000dps being done to you but yea...um...figure out how to outheal duncans defense and sure.

Actually there might be a way, maybe through degen? ~20 spirits means ~20 enrergy through channeling, effective e-management, and Duncan's Defenses doesn't give degen back does it? you might be able to take him down via degen, something like [skill]conjure phantasm[/skill] + [skill]conjure nightmare[/skill] which would be 10 degen, meaning, -20 health a second and saying duncan has 20000 (just for sake of argument) that would take 1000 seconds = just under 17 minutes, long but you could solo.
I'm no expert, in fact i've never fought duncan, this is based on what i know and heard so....

The only way I see this being possible is when you get to Duncan Equip a set of armor with five sups and the -50 cesta have a monk hit you with [Protective Spirit]and alternate between [Shield of absorption] and [Shielding Hands] constantly this way you will take 0 dmg and do massive dmg to him.

Actually there might be a way, maybe through degen? ~20 spirits means ~20 energy through channeling, effective e-management, and Duncan's Defenses doesn't give degen back does it?
You might be able to take him down via degen, something like [skill]conjure phantasm[/skill] + [skill]conjure nightmare[/skill] which would be 13 degen, he has +3 regen from recuperation (i THINK it's +3) meaning, 10 degen, aka -20 health a second.
And saying duncan has 20000 (just for sake of argument) that would take 1000 seconds = just under 17 minutes, takes time but you could solo.

with duncan's HP, it would take 2 days to degen him to death.
I would agree with one of the posters above, have a monk with PS/SoA/SH to keep you alive while you sliver away.
or
just do what everyone else does.

How about....
How about a 55 Monk with Silver Armor? Obviously another sin would handle the swaps.

Why? you already have a perma tank with swap just take a second set of armor 20g shingjea will work just fine, and fill it with a sup shadow on head piece and 4 of the other cheapest sin sup runes, and before you set out make one of you monks have prot, SoA, and SH swap the regen spirits leave teh attackers change armor put on the offhand have the monk prot you up and go at it. with all the spirits he should go boom and if you have monk that can pay attention you should never die.

I would love to see someone try this set up to see if it will actually work. It might take a while, but I see no reason for it not to work.

reduced hex duration plus high cost means energy is a huge concern, especially when going for 17 minutes.
