Eilte mission Balanced?
The tought came to me this weekend while trying to remember if there was a bow dropping from the deep chest. (random? I know)
Has there been a guild that have cleared either of the elite missions using a balanced setup? I know DoA,every dungeon and the realm of the gods have been done using balanced. But then there are the 2 faction ones that people seem to barely remember. The few times I've seen people talk about those it was alway cryway or some other tank&spank strategy.

Meh Yeah Cryway was used in Urgoz/deep When other ppl used Ursan in Fow/uw/doa.
Then For Urgoz "Balanced" with Splinter Barrages was best opinion for 2years.
Deep allways had Balanced stragedy.

Are you referring to the Steel Wall deep groups as balanced? When is the deep not run with teleporting tanks and splitting nukers? Even the old Shivers build is pretty gimmicky I'd say...

Played Urgoz's a couple of months ago with a balanced team (several of my guildies, two or three PUG members from one guild).
Deep? Played 1 warrior, 1 ranger, couple of nukers, monks (kinda like Steel Wall) not that long ago, if that's considered balanced.

I've never played either without running balanced.
The reason why balanced is often favored for the Deep is because of the starting rooms. Most gimmick builds can not force their way out, and it does take time to spring teammates in other rooms. Cryway and other such setups aim for quick completions, and there are better areas for such a group to farm than the Deep.

Some of us don't want to farm, I just want complete it for the statue for hall. But everyone says they wont take a Paragon, into a group unless its the Steelwall group. And the one run I found in the services was like 60-70K. The statue is not worth that lol. But on the otherhand in Urgoz I got three groups in one day once. I dont see the major difference that they would be so elitist. I do hope more balanced groups start doing The Deep soon.

Well if you were able to make it throught I guess that answers the question.
Out of curiosity (because I don't even think i'll be able to build a completely organised group), what did you use in those groups. Let me guess : SY para, some earth shaker tank, maybe a "real" tank to hold some of the attention and the rest as usual dmg dealer (CoP, SS, Splinter...)

It's been a while (sometime around last November) but I do remember some of what we brought. My alliance enjoys a little "randomway" when we go on Elite mission outings, and get bored easily with cookie cutter builds. Here are the bars I remember:
[Triple Chop][Cyclone Axe][Whirlwind Attack][Flail][Dolyak Signet][For Great Justice][Recall][Resurrection Signet]
[Angelic Bond][aria of restoration][ballad of restoration][sever artery][gash][signet of return]
[echo][arcane echo][meteor shower][fireball][fire attunement]
Hero: [fire storm][meteor shower][death pact signet]
[blood is power][well of blood][awaken the blood][vampiric gaze][spinal shivers]
[wanderlust][pain][bloodsong][painful bond][earthbind][summon spirits][you move like a dwarf][flesh of my flesh]
[shield of regeneration][protective spirit][dismiss condition][remove hex][rebirth]
Hero: [healer's boon][heal party][ethereal light][healing seed][renew life]
I don't remember the rest, and as you can see, most of the bars are not all that serious and we have no coherent team synergy. Most of our group had not done the Deep before, and didn't know what to expect. We stopped before each room to discuss tactics and the effect quickly for the sake of the newer folks. Completion took about 2, 2.5 hours.

Our guild runs Urgoz HM with non-cryer, non-perma team:
1 Tank/Puller - warrior
2 MM's (heroes)
1 EoE barrage Ranger
3 HB monks and/or Necro/Rit healers (minimum 1 HB/heal party spammer)
1 SS/MoP necro
2-4 Ele nukers
0-2 optional, AoE preferred.
We run with cons up, our best time is 1h 7m

Our last Deep was Normal Mode, but that was mainly because we had several players who had never been there. For experienced players HM would not have been too much of a problem, specially with cons.
Urgoz's was NM, we hadn't played the area for over a year and had several inexperienced players with us. Given the mistakes people made several times I'd say that most of the team had never been there or never finished.
And since we were taking PUG we wanted to play on the safe side.
Same here, HM would probably be very doable with consumables for experienced players.

did some randomway ones with alliance in urgoz, both areas imo are hard at the start and end, middle is fine
highlight for me was a paragon who got stuck behind a closed door, he stayed, tried to pull stuff so he could die by the door, got killed.
we then faught urgoz, won, got stuff from chest, paragon got autoresed but door still closed...
luckiest guy there, cos my drop was a vamparic axe
