I found Silent Surf to be pretty good. Don't know how well it compares to others though.

I would say MQ without a doubt.
Get in a mqsc group = 10k faction every 7-10 minutes.\
I've gone up 3 ranks in the past week
Pretty much any profession can be the "runner"

If you're not looking for a Speedclear Group, I understand that Boreas Seabed is a good one to H/H.

If you have the Job quest active - you should take down some 200 foes, averaging around 15k faction in 25-30 minutes (with h/h).
If you do it with an additional person and a full hero team - you could shave off some 5ish minutes.

I've managed to get Mount Quinkai down to ~18 minutes H/H for the usual ~11k, using a single blue rock candy each time. I use a pretty modified discord build.
Start from Aspenwood gate, take out yeti first, followed by eastern portion of the map, and finish with wallows. I normally deliberately overaggro a bit, hence why I leave the wallows last, as they can score a couple of kills in numbers, which are quicker to deal with at the end of a run.
Though if you have a monk halfway through factions just head over to the Aspenwood gate German districts and do the same run in half the time with a PUG. Just pick up an easy job - ie. one of the smiters.
