.. Hey all,

sorry if this is a completely minor thing, but I've searched the forums and can't seem to find anything about this quest -- but at any rate, I have been trying to finish Little Creatures, and I've scoured the temple, killed all the Mantids, and the queen doesn't spawn. I've tried going back to town and going back there, killed the Mantids again, and still no queen.

Anything really obvious I'm missing?

If i remember correctly, you should stay at the quest marker, after killing the first mantids, more will spawn, and eventaully the Queen.

do you have dragon festival quests on? they mess with some of the beginner quests.

I don't recall explicitly turning them on; how would I turn them off?

Simply abandon the Festival Quests, you can always retake them again if you have time from the coordinator in Shing Jea.

In general, having any special quests can really mess up the standard ones, by doing anything from moving mobs/bosses to removing them entirely. A general rule is to never go standard questing with any non-standard quest in tow, unless you're farming something specific or something similar.
