You don't go near it. Watch out for the spurts and time it correctly, it isn't hard.

A bit more info would help. What class are you running? What's your party setup?
I'm guessing you're on about the poison spouts and jets. The main bit of advice for that would be don't stand in it. They're all avoidable if you move between the regularly timed eruptions, and pause in the areas between each jet or spout.

when you come to the 2nd level, go down the hill and go off to the right and around. When you get to the poison, you can around the spouts without getting poisoned very easily. If you go to the left instead, you will be poisoned.
