Fast method to obtain asuran points.
In this weekend there are double point. So what you suggest?
Make an hm book?
Vanquish some place?
Farming some place?
I'm a ranger

From what I've heard books wont count this weekend.
Raptor farming/leeching is probably your best bet.

Same topic in the last 10...
Just go leach raptors farmers (better -> W/N in HM)
Edit : And yeah, turning books doesn't give double points.

Why leech? (don't get me started on the idiocy of THAT concept). A ranger is perfectly capable of raptor farming in HM.

alternatively just vanquish Magus Stones - bout 12k per run roughly - probs more - takes around 1h to vanquish - 14hours (bad math :P) to max a title from scratch with perseverance

Well, I have to say that the necro is pretty tough to raptor farm with in HM. The "generic" mist-form raptor farm build (that I will take credit for) is REALLY REALLY awful and depends on keeping Mental Block going which is tricky. With any profession, I think Mindbender is really the key skill because it halves casting time which makes you pretty tough to interrupt, BUT you MINIMALLY need rank 6 Asuran to have any chance at aggro'ing the 3 main groups before it runs dry. So my current build would be:
[Glyph of Elemental Power] - If your bar has room, this will boost your earth/water spells the equivalent of a major rune and it lasts long enough to be precast
[Magnetic Aura] - stays up long enough to run through the cave, blocking=interrupt prevention
[Mindbender] - Rank 6 or above with an enchanting staff will BARELY get you through the cave and allow you to cast your spells (don't try getting every raptor, just the groups).
[Sliver Armor] - Cast this FIRST since it gives you even more blocking. For something like a necro which won't have any additional blocking or interrupt prevention, you'll want to cast this before the raptors totally mob you.
[Mist Form] - Once this is off, you take NO damage but can be interrupted
[Air of Superiority] - Not absolutely critical but should keep the run going. Personally I don't use this. I just wait for the broodmother to give me a skill recharge, go for the 2nd casting of sliver and then leave the cave (usually get about 29-30 kills overall which is fine for me).
[Ebon Battle Standard of Honor] > [By Ural's Hammer!] > [Intensity] - Whatever fits on your bar
Depending on profession, you want to utilize any blocking or interruption skills available to prevent interruption (always the biggest problem).

i fully admit that it is harder with certain professions - my nec and (not sure if its strange or not) but my para had some difficulty when I did the occasional raptor farm for event items....
but IT IS possible to do it which I feel was the point I was trying to make....
just wondering with double rep - what is better when not combined with event items - raptors or Magus Stones vanq?

For just plain rep points, why do you need to leech or go solo Vs Raptors?
Why not just go in with Heroes and Henchies and kill just kill em all. Yeah, maybe you'll get less drops, but the rep is the same regardless and easier than having to maintain a particular build.
Just curious.

Well, if you are just mindlessly raptor farming over and over again, you will reasonably do 30+ runs an hour. That is about 4k reputation per hour normally, so the vanquish is still the better way to go (but raptors will make you more money).

It's too slow. The solo build is extremely efficient, about a 90 second run or less. Also, clearing the cave in hard mode with a full crew is actually pretty difficult (for me at least).

I found a discord team of heroes and the two ele henchies, along with one of the monk henchies and the illusion henchie are more than enough to clear the Raptor cave and even the adults outside...and still doesnt take that long, though probably a little more than one of the solo builds (i'm a ranger too).

Vanquish magus. If you want rep and a chance at drops, do SoO or bogroot farms. SoO is 4500 asuran per 20 mins. Shot at bds and lots of LoDs.
Bog farms I forget how much rep, but 10 min runs for a shot at frogs. Not bad either.
IMO dungeons are best way to do it as a result.

Just take any capable group to vanquish magus, 30-40 mins and you can get 20k+ points with the right bonuses. Much faster then slowly farming raptors and much less boring. (psst remember the point of playing games in the first place is to have fun)

I have to admit, that for a while there I was spending about 4+ hours a day just blowing up raptors and saving up money to buy my next everlasting tonic. It WAS fun, but probably the same kind of fun those lab rats have push a button all day for a little treat.

Thanks for this advice. I got my rank 10 in Asura doing this in only a few hours of playing.

Surely one does not need to solo farming the Asura points. Put together any H/H team on anytime to start grinding in HM.
