It has been a long time since that I have done this mission in NM but I never succeeded this mission in HM. I just wonder if this is going to work. Let's say if you get dunkuro (or you) as a secondary ele, equip him with GOLE, Deep freeze and gale. Deep freeze the first runner (and the 2nd runner) and kill him, cast gale on the 2nd runner. Would that work? Thanks.

Why not use an elementalist hero instead of wasting three elementalist slots on a monk hero?

I like to run discordway so I don't like having another ele hero.

Forget discord here, its not really worth it (There arent many mobs to kill, and the few mobs that are there arent really dangerous). I ran a Mirror of ice ele with Ice spikes, freezing gusy and deep freeze with dunkoro as a WoH hybrid and olias as a smiter with icey veins.

As for me the build doesnt matter but i slotted YmlaD for a quick snare and gives you time to kill the runner while hes on the floor and the ele should be locked onto the other runner so he cant escape while killing the other.

Discord really isnt needed or effective for this mission....

this. I used to bring to water eles with mind freeze and then I'd lock an ele to each runner. Though, if I were to do it now, I'd only bring one and have it bring arcane echo and micro mind freeze on both.

I ran it with Ebon Assassin Support and YMLaD, Target one with Assassin and the other with YMLaD. Assassin will knockdown and all but kill the first and you take care of the second and then finish of the first. I believe that YMLad (Condition) and Hexing before Ebon Vanguard will also work with your discord build if you are insistant on using it.

I did it with discord too and it wasn't that hard: Simply put Mind Freeze on Dunkoro, target one with Mind Freeze and kill the other one, than concentrate on the last runner. If the first runner can escape u do something wrong concerning running discordway... so easy...

I've found YMLAD is enough on one runner, whom you target first. Assuming you used Mind Freeze on the other, he shouldn't have gotten far enough away unless you were slow to kill the first runner.

It helps to bring a party-wide speed boost to be used immediately before the runners start moving, so that your whole party can bring their offense to bear.

Just YMLA the left runner and team kill the right one, you have more time to kill the left one later. Should do just fine.

Or just get yourself a friend who could help you out, it's like 10 mins to that point

If your really desperate for that bit, grab two Mind Freeze heroes, locking one onto each runner.
I managed fine with investing 6 or so into water and putting that long snare that doesnt do any damage (Ice Prism?) on two of my heroes. Since they like to stand around for a while, you can get into a position where you can slow them with bodyblocking, minions make this even better.

Basically to reiterate what everyone else has already said, bring one ele with deep freeze and lock it on one ( I find it easier to lock it onto the one on the right) and then use YMLAD on the left, the one on the left should go down in seconds which gives you plenty of time to kill the one on the right

two water eles with 40/40 sets with mind freeze and other snares...
you bring - YMLAD - summon ice imp also helps......
you bring a form of snare - or KD - whatever you can spare
<<< all i ever bothered with when I used to run this...
arcane echo was never needed mission is easy enought with 2 eles and dunky as heal monk....

I just put Deep Freeze on my own AP caller bar. Hit the runners with DF followed by YMLaD on the left runner, killed left in seconds, hit the right runner with the recharged YMLaD, and took him down too.

If you can do it in normaal mode you can do it in hardmode, smae principle, i sse your charcter is a necro, go secondary ranger, bring a long bow(can be a crappy white one doesnt matter), and the skill pindown,and a running skill, also bring 1 of your heros as a water ele with deepfreeze, and any other movemnet slowing water skill, when you get to the part were you are at runners, you will need to micro mange water ele hero skills, diasable all the ele heros skills except for deep freze and the other movemnet slowing skill call target and and run to the runners activate heros depfrezze on left runner while u use pin down on right runer, once you get there take the right runner out first, since your a necro you should have some good necro skills in the curses line to taker him out quickly, SS and enfeebling blood come to mind, and bingo there is your bonus., if your on line give me a holler when im online , be glad to give you a hand; Lance the Ladys man

I ran discord with Dunkoro as Mo/N and I was a W/ME. I just echoed YMLAD I also had Ebon Assasin went down easy. The rest of the mission is cake.
