Fourth post in this thread, by Notorious Bob. Good for any profession. Works like a charm. My ele used this strategy to get masters first time in HM, finishing Cantha Guardian. It went so smoothly that I kept checking the upper left corner of the screen to make sure I was really in HM.

2nd this...
nicely written guide - more info on the afflicted part would probably help...just cause some form of flagging is important etc.
but with knowledge of groups etc. my ranger aced it without any deaths or anybody going below 50% hp
solid stratergy - just needs knowledge of the enemies....simple simple - shame I got guardian of cantha over a year ago

Aw, you guys just want your cake and then more cake!! :P
The afflicted part is actually the easiest part of of das Grove.
You don't need any changes in flagging, just leave the heroes where they are.
Put one Juggernaut near either gate, if you can be bothered.
Possibly the biggest threat are the afflicted monks using RoJ. If you have EotN then PI them for insta-kill otherwise 'daze' is your friend especially as a Ranger Primary/Secondary - good olde BHA.
You see so many people rushing around doing the 1st part and then QQing that it's too hard that really, if you can get to the afflicted's assault then it's easy from there on in!
Bob
BTW, I will add that there are quite a few cases where the 'obvious' strategy is to flag your party into separate groups - and this almost always ends in tears.
