Curse

So I've had this quest since pre-Factions and can not for the life of me, get it done. I have tried, and tried, and tried, to no avail. A recent summary I did for this quest to pretty much sum up my feelings on the location and problem I have with it.

I just think the location for this quest is bad, not so much the actual quest. The Last Day Dawns quest is in an area with a 4 man party, so you can handle it with just Heroes on Normal. The Defend Droknar's Forge quest is in an area with level 20 Henchman and so once again, you can handle it with them and Heroes on Normal. The Defend Denravi quest does have the disadvantage of level 15 Henchman but you can do it without ever talking to Evennia, on Hard Mode, die quite often, but never have the issue of a party defeat too early or too many Titan groups building up as they are limited in their spawns to having other Titan groups die. This quest however, is done in an area that you can either come at it with a group of 6, in which the 2 henchman are level 10, or a group of 8, in which the 4 henchman are level 15. Either way the level of the henchman severely handicaps you in normal against the groups of Titans. Now if you switch it to Hard Mode those henchman do get raised to level 20, but the titans also go up in level and over-aggroing of titans during this quest in Hard Mode can quickly and effectively demolish your 6 or 8 man group. With the quest designed so that the titans spawn rapidly and come at you rather quickly, over-aggroing them happens frequently because Greywind is an ass and runs into them. I simply find this quest to be the most difficult of the Titan quests based on it's location and the handicaps it puts in your way when trying it with just Heroes & Henchman.

I have cleared out all 3 campaigns and most of EotN on Normal and Hard mode. I've had little difficulty in doing a great deal of it. But as hard and as often as I try to get this quest done, I just flop over dead. Either I fail at the first area with Greywind dieing, in which the 2nd area doesn't actually start because Greywind has to make it back to the settlement to start that part. Or he makes it back, group dies, he dies, and I try to do the whole GY rush thing to get it completed, but the Titans just keep spawning away and I get to 60% DP, run in, and get party wiped before I get any of the mobs down.

I don't know, I could just sit their for a few hours, trying over and over to knock down one Titan at a time with 60% DP, but I get aggravated after about 10 tries at it. What I'm aiming for is to get actual human players to do this with, for once. If people are willing to help me in that way, or strategies they used to simplify this infuriating quest, it would be appreciated.

wow this one is a cakewalk compared to Last Day Dawns, and to a lesser extent, Titan Source.

Just run a standard sabway or discord team, and start from TOA where you can have a 8 person team, pop a summon if you need....this should really be easy

Fire eles help too, since those titans are plants

I actually found Last Day Dawns to be quite simple, if long, just by going around behind and wiping out all the Titan groups that way.

And I've tried going from temple with both the Mage Henchman (Orion) and subbing out the 3rd Necro (Curses) with a Mind Blast Ele for the added Fire damage to no avail.

I suggest bringing a Protection Monk (or two) using Spellbreaker as the Elite. With Spell Breaker and Shield of Absorption on a tank, they might as well be invincible versus the Titans. Just don't bring anything that causes AoE scatter!

Ah, I was wondering whether I was the only one to have issues with this quest. I would love to help you out, as I would like to finish it myself as well. I am in the GMT + 1 zone, but if necessary I could arrange something coming weekend.
My IGN: Amon Lasul, I am a warrior and use either Hundred Blades or Earthshaker. Further, I can bring a monk, ele and derv hero.

Ah, I am in the GMT +5 zone, but I would be glad to do this with you. I'm willing to set up a time for this anytime either today, or anytime starting Monday (got some holiday stuff to be doing with family so I'm off to their place for the weekend).

With today I suppose you mean Thursday 26th? I will be online Friday 27th and during the weekend. Monday to Wednesday are impossible for me.
