The problem with NM kilroy is just that makes things longer. First time i've done survivor i was very careful about it, so did NM kilroy. Well, was something like about 60 runs(using expensive rare scrolls!), ended up taking some weeks. Now, expecially cause a random fail will just reset the title count, farming (vaettirs, raptors, fowsc or whatever) can lower time to some hours of play.

It's not that bad. To hit 1,337,500. you only need 20 hours (about 117-120 runs) if using the 50% for 10 minutes scroll. My 7-9 minutes per run are netting over 11,300 XP (including the quest reward) in NM. I already have enough scrolls saved up to cover the whole grind, but even so, selling off the drops more than covers the cheaper scrolls.

If you use the double for 10 minutes scroll, you can cut that down to just over 15 hours in NM. It pretty much makes the title a complete joke (instead of half a joke once the EotN cap was dropped to level 10), but I'm still going to do it the old fashioned way on my lower level characters.

A slow-but-safe way would be to amass HM rep books:

Flameseeker Prophecies 120,000xp
Shiro's Return 60,000xp
Night Falls 90,000xp
Young Heroes of Tyria 67,500xp
Hero's Handbook 60,000xp
Master Dungeon Guide 120,000

Just complete Prophecies 11 times (storing the books as you finish them) then hand them all in at once.

Well, I say "just", but you know...

Just got survivor on warrior (my main) with vaettir farming under 4 hours, 30ish 300g scroll, got the basic build from kajusbonus' post under campfire farming, upgraded it a little bit, a run takes 4-5 min, 31.5k exp. With 2 bonder, it's safe proof (test run drop sf for 2 sec, still live) unless u got lag spike or dc.

You could just solo 60 vaettir at once HM with Lightbringer scrolls. That method only takes 25 minutes to get r3. That's the way I did on my sin.

Just lost survivor playing through HM(VQ's, ZBs, ect) while doing SoO HM for ZB today.
Terrible idea, but I'll probably go kill vaettirs like everyone else lol...

how many times do you have to kil the vaettir with light bringer scrolls...is the real question...so we know how many LB scrolls to get.

i get Dced or lag out because of this damn dev update...never did before...always lose Survivor.

I think vaettir is the fastest, lets see the numbers:

Run without scrolls : 18k Exp.
I got my survivor with x2 scrolls (250g/ea at any eye trader)
Doing this --> 36k/run.
With a proper build, u can do the run in 4 mins or so, and taking the 36k/run as reference, you just need 37,15 runs (u know, 38 XD) to get the r3 survivor, so it is...

37,15 (38) x4mins/run = 2 hours and 18 mins (2 hours and 22mins) Thats the time
37,15 (38) x 250g/scroll = 7.ooo gold for scrolls.

So u can get ur r3 survivor with 2 hours 22mins and 7K, in vaettirs, best way i think

I was trying to do it just playing normally, since I'm vanquishing anyway, but my connection's been so spotty lately that I'd lag and then reconnect and find I had died.

So I'll probably just farm wurms if I decide I really want LS...

About 28-30 scrolls. Each run takes about 1 minute. One run is 54k.

Takes about 1h30 mins just to turn in the hammers, not to mention you cap out on cash once or twice along the way, and gotta spend hours and hours to get ahold off em. IMO boxing is faster unless you get ahold off a full stack of hammers or something

FoW NM is pretty safe with heroes, they could probably handle multiple aggro plus a couple of patrols in burning forest while you disco away.

If you haven't capped skills, there was a double exp skill weekend you just missed. I played for a couple of hours per day in the weekend and got about 1 million exp; only 200k to go :P. Thinking of doing Wurms.

Vaettir farming is THE fastest way to Survivor, thats the answer to the thread. end of story. go max your survivor, 2-4hours.

Kilroy HM 4-6 hours with scrolls, but can be very hard to do with caster classes.

Vaettirs if you've got the right class, 2-4 hours.
