I have to say I had been struggling with this mission for a while.I finally decided to go to pvp and gain enough balthazaar to unlock SV for my necro hero.Yeah, I tried at least a dozen pugs.One thing I have found for certain in Elona...Pugs are much harder than using heroes and henches.Every mission, for me, was easier to get masters, with heroes/henches, than with the pugs.If your trying to do it with pugs, perhaps give hench/hero a try.You can position them and *gasp* they go!Make sure you set your heroes to guard, so they stay relatively near your flag.Take the mission slow and avoid over aggroing and you will not die.Not even once.

Like has been said a millions times, kill Lich.I was a Dervish, so I took wild blow for Shiro, and used avatar of Balthazaar/holy damage skills and owned Lich in like 20 seconds.(I have no idea why they made him so easy)Then I capped the shrines, before I bothered with Shiro, he does little to no damage at first.Then, before attacking him, simply made my group run back out.My team was made up of these henches/heroes:

2 hench monks
Talkhora set for all protect
Master of Whispers, blood and SV
Me, the Dervish, and ONLY melee
Acolyte Sousuke, nuker
Illusion hench
Ranger hench

I disabled all of MoW's skills, except SV.I flagged MoW, Talkhora, and Sousuke a fair distance away from the opening at the top of the stairs, in an arch.The henches were flagged in the middle with MoW.I went down, and pulled Shiro up.I kept him as far away as I could from the rest of the group, but allow them to be able to still hit him/heal me.When he started spamming IO, I simply stopped using everything else, and only used wild blow.MoW hit him with SV till that stopped working, then, we just....killed him, he had very little health left.

I tried this mission many times, with no success.I tried a lot of things, and it wasnt even SV that I feel makes the mission.It's positioning.And making sure you only bring one melee, and that melee person keeps Shiro the hell away from the rest of the group.3 monks means unless they or you seriously mess up, you will not likely die.But if you let Shiro get too close to them, he will own everyone.This is my experience anyways.

By the way, I did try it again later, and I didn't bring MoW.I brought my friend who is a Mesmer in his place.By following the positioning I had used earlier, we still beat it.SV is not required.Just play with positioning, and make sure you don't bring a mob of warriors/melee.One is enough.I do feel wild blow is a absolute must though.Again just my 2 cents.

Heres a screencap of me finishing Abaddon off with hench/hero, I have my hero skill bars open, my build is pretty unimportant apart from wild throw, was mainly for fighting the rest of the mission. Olias had power drain to beat the lich, and spirit of failure to keep all his hexes on shiro, koss and zhed are straightforward. Also not I got every single god favor here, because shiro does barely any damage when he isnt being attacked.

I am begining to really hate this mission the fact that this shiro is stronger than Abaddon is rediclous I have tried positioning my party at the gate but to no avail and that fact that he spams IO again and again is stupid what is it a 5 sec cool down to make matters worst everyone seems to hate Dervishes so good luck on me getting a party together.

In fact the who Torment area seems to be a mater of endurance because everything can wipe your party out I thought the Gate of pain was hard with thoughs ele spider but this is taking that piss having a enemy who heals hims self even while attacking I play games to enjoy them not to get so frustrated with the mission the fact that it takes 10-20 min to reach him just to have a wipe out and I honestly can not be bothered to do this fore the 15 time just to be wiped out again.

well after strugling with this mission for a few times, i followed some sugestions here and made masters in a really easy way ^^,

my setup

2 Monks (healer and prot)
1 echo nuker
1 Dervish
1 Necro SS + reckles haste
1 ranger
1 touch ranger
1 Assasin

well this basicly depends on the fact that assasin tanks shiro, i was the assasin my bar was like way of the assasin, critical defense, wild strike, wild blow, unsespecting and critical strike.

k now, when u finish closing the portals

lure both lich and shiro, assasin will solo shiro (its really easy getting his agroo), the others should gank lich and kill him quick, after that the prot monk should stay helping the assasin and while he tanks all of the others will go get the blessings...this works really easy, the assasin will almost solo shiro by the time you have all of the blessings, i had to make my self atack only with wild blow cause shiro was almost dying (managed to keep him at 5% hp) and we only got 3 of the 5 blessings

If you look at what I did, thats how I planned out how to beat shiro no sweat, note that i disabled lots of skills on my heroes so that eventually he was just swinging away, blindly hurting himself with no stances to use. He was a piece of cake, and never killed a single member of my party, that picture probably shows the worst my partys health ever got.

Guys, to kill Shiro you need to do two things only. Wild Blow him out of Battle Scars, and get the non-tanks TO STAY AWAY when his health gets low. Wand him from afar, its not that hard. I have done this mission close to 30 times helping guildies and friends, and I have been able to do it without a wipeout every single time.

I was more frustrated in Jennur's Horde using Heroway than Shiro. I killed him pretty fast without SV and Wild Blow. I didn't know what I was doint then I was running like you said "headless chicken" and I ressed fast and I killed Shiro.

BTW, I used a Healer's Boon Monk.

Like a lot of dervishs, I find it very hard to join a PUG group. Only managed to try a handful of times and failed :-(

I have read several of earlier suggestions here. Have not tried heroes/henchies yet because my necro does not have SS (don't played PvP), and no SV (don't have Factions and not going to get it anyway).

Soon Gate of Madness will be full of dervishs who cannot progress through the game.

I finally beat Shiro with henchmen, didn't get Masters though, cause I really wanted to just get past the mission. Just need some good flagging work and it should take him down. I was 1 on 1 with Shiro with help of Prot Spirit, Life Bond and Aegis to tone down the damage.

Olias: SV/Insidious Parasite with Life Siphon as a cover hex.
Zhed: Fire Nuker.
Talhkora: Protection Monk w/ Prot Spirit, Aegis, Life Bond.
Cynn, Khim, Mhenlo and Gehraz.

SV is a prophecies skill.

That was actually hilariously underwhelming. Take one dragonslashing hero, one monk with ZB and PS and get everything else to stand back - the torturewebs have no self heal and they can't kill either person through PS and free heals with ZB.

When i did this as Paragon my group had Koss (Wild Blow) as the only melee, rest were ranged. Koss was tanking Shiro and rest of us focused fire on lich, when the lich was dusted i placed a few flags for others so were not piled up if shiro wants to kill someone else instead, which he did in the very end (1% or so).

It felt pretty easy after all, but honestly i did wipe to him at first tries because of really bad positioning but degen him , no more than one melee is necessary, make the tank to aggro shiro alone and then assist. Before 50% hp he will most likely teleport around and cause havoc by killing someone - that poor ele on my team

but after that he's locked to a single target.

There is a lot of info here about beating shiro, but I can't even get there. Usually I die in the area just before the two torment claws. I fight one group, but they keep multiplying or wthvr it is they do. An endless horde of enemies.

If I get past this, I die at the warp zones. There are just way too many patrols everywhere, I get swarmed. And when I wait somewhere safe and lure groups so I dont get swarmed, they just keep coming because they dont stop.

I would greatly appreciate any help about how to even get to shiro

This mission is hard if done incorrectly.

The portal area can be tough. If you make a priority of killing the Portal Wraths, first then the mobs around each portal, this can be done easily.

Next go down to where the Lich and Shiro are and kill the Lich ignoring Shiro. Get the blessings from ALL statues. Then head to the centre area of the blessed shrines so your group can spread out. As soon as you get him down to <20% health he uses Impossible Odds and you really don't want to be near him when this happens. Make sure your warrior is using Wild Blow to remove any of the other Shrio stances. A monk with Protective Spirit on Koss/your warrior helps.

Each time I followed this I managed the mission with ease.

Basically can any1 with a descent monk help me in this 1. Ive only ever had more than 1 monk once and we got 2 shiro and died miserably. My Chars name is Chosen Elonian. Plz msg if u can help.
