Vanquishing Eastern Frontier
Anyone have any hero build suggestions for vanquishing Eastern Frontier? I'm having a very hard time with the Grawl Ulodyte groups (especially when there's two or three in a group). I play an Imbagon so I'm not really doing much damage. I tried running Discord with my heros and that doesn't seem to be enough firepower with my lack of damage. I've tried a healer and a couple damage dealers and it doesn't seem I'm doing enough damage with them either. Maybe two mesmers and a healer? I can switch my build over to damage if need be but I just can't find anything that comes up with enough damage.

This is when just how much damage Discord does is evident ...
Solution: bring spirits. Ritualists deal twice the DPS of everyone else, so make good use of them.

As above, spirits are the way to go. Also, use summoning stones. The extra damage helps a lot in 4 player groups. I'd also recommend just not playing imbagon. You don't need that much protection for a vanquish.

It's been awhile since I VQed the Eastern Frontier, but I recall those Ulodytes being a pain, probably because I did it with 3 heroes. It would be easier with 5 heroes, obviously. In fact, I will be doing this VQ again soon, and I intend to use 5 heroes when I do it. If I had to do it with 3 heroes, I'd probably try 2 spirit spammer heroes (one doubles as a healer) and a domination mesmer. It may help to have a spike on your imbagon bar if you don't already, like Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support and/or "Finish Him!"
I hope this is helpful.
Here's the build I use for heroes:
Communing Rit Hero: OACjAyhDJPO7z23kcGtzcOzkLA
Channeling/Restoration Rit Hero: OACjEuiLJOXzyp0cyNMrmMzxJA
Domination Mesmer Hero: OQNEAqwD+ScCZoBOkjMgCZC

I did it as a necro and an ele using the 2 n/rts from discord. Putting animate bone minions on both. Then bringing a SoS rit. Worked like a charm. Not a single death. Did it a couple weeks ago on my nec...and a really long time ago on my ele.

I did that with my warrior. Earthshaker, renewing smash, fail and for great justice was your friend. If you bunched them up right you could keep them on the ground for about ~18 seconds. I had an MM prot, SoS and a splinter/heal rit to deal with this problem.
But yea, spirit spam is very usefull. Bringing in enchantment removal (spirit of disenchantment) along with that blinding spirit is a good idea.

Do yourself a big favour: CARAVAN VANQ as one of the above posters mentioned.
Either from Yak's Bend (Party of 6) or TOA (Party of 8)
If you take a day and do everything from Ascalon Foothills (including Gullet) right over to Eastern Frontier, you will find it all painless

Thanks for all the suggestions. I really didn't want to do the caravan from Yak's Bend but it looks like that is probably going to be easiest. I did Diessa, Flame Temple, and Dragon's Gullet that way and since I have 3 areas left (Eastern, Pockmark, and Regent Valley) I may as well make it easier on myself and get them all done at once. Probably won't be able to get to them until Saturday so hopefully one or two of them will show up as the ZV before then.

just take a random build yourself, dual mesmers ( with backfire, empathy, and whatever you see fit, I went with one ineptitude and the other as e-surge) and a MM with some heals ( since you as the imbagon should cover the prot part) and its a walk through the park.

I finally got this done today. Thanks for all the suggestions.
I ended up taking a group of six from Yak's Bend. It took me just over 2.5 hours to vanquish Regent Valley, Pockmark Flats, and Eastern Frontier including the walk from Yak's.
