DoA Question
I've just started trying to complete DoA with 7H. I took the Mallyx quest and started in City. I completed City then moved on to Stygian Veil where I stupidly wiped as a result of not taking care with aggro. In my Quest Log it still shows the City part (Lord Jadoth) of the quest line as having been completed. Does this mean that I can skip City when I next try, or do I have to do it again?

You can just map directly to stygian veil from goa in that case. You will spawn near enough to where jadoth would be and carry on with veil,gloom and foundry
edit:each are has a portal of its own,veil is hidden out of the way/compass range

As Calista stated you can map straight in and if you so choose you can do each one individually.
The benefit of doing all 4 in 1 run is the number of gems dropped by the mission chests i.e. the first map you get 1 gem, second you get 2 and so on. |

It's kinda like in Slaver's Exile: you need to finish each area to be able to get to the final boss (mallyx in DoA), but it doesn't matter in what order you complete them.
