I tried to start a discussion of this in the MPB drop thread, but no one really bit. My general theory is that just deleting the .dat files would not work, because I personally don't believe that the file would even cause a difference in the loading screen when it had to load it on a MPB run, but if you had a program to detect .dat files that were being used by the client you would be able to detect it upon entry.
However, whether such a program exists or is even possible, I do not know..
