I will try all your advice thanks. I was victim of the "bug" apparently because the wurm appeared in the center of the room and the dwarf stayed at the entrance. I was killed trying to run back and forth. I brought Gwen so I guess I'll have to try again... Otherwise maybe I'll have to team up with some of you who are pros at this.

While it is a nice on,e Master is having trouble with it and refuses to cooperate.
I also ended up Beating Cyndr with the help of This thread, this diagram, and examples given by many I was able to do it with little, to no troubles at all.
My Group was
Myself - Necro (Prophecies only skills) Mixed Blood/MM
Jora
Vekk

I managed to defeat him on my second try using H/H (and no cheaty bugs ) I kept degen on him (poison and bleeding) so that he wouldn't regenerate health as we died lol.
Me - Ranger Runner + Degen
Vekk as a Water Hexer (with Ward against Harm)
Tahlkora as Prot spam
Gwen as Dominatrix Interupter ( lol)
Eve
Mhenlo
Lina
Cynn

I think its a lot easier with a PUG, so then you can all get kegs and make him lose his shell quickly, most of the time when i have PUG'ed we have got him to 1/10 or no health by the time he burrows.

Absolutely true. Managed to do it with 6 players, one prot monk and a rt healer being the only healers available. We just kept running the kegs, and got a bit lucky that the last part he spawned next to that dwarf.

Just get the group to run kegs to him. He'll be dead in no time. Occasionally Cyndr will explode someone running a keg, but not often.

Can be done without using the kegs at all.
I took Gwen in my h+h party, supplying her with interrupts, energy stealing and elite disabling skills.
Controlling the cast order manually while tanking the worm made it a success.
Maybe it took a little longer, but no one died except the worm.
And I avoided the annoying "hide in the ground when carapace is down action"

Cyndr may be a bit erratic these days. Certainly Cyndr is more difficult with a H/H group. With multiple real people, everyone spamming kegs will get the job done quickly and easily. I took my first character (an ele) through before the Cyndr-buff with H/H and easily beat him with two SV heroes.
I took my warrior through last night with H/H and did all of the things you are supposed to do to beat him and I was thoroughly defeated. He insta-killed anyone he hit (from full health) and, perhaps most annoying, his health regen was amazingly fast. I would take his carapace down and was able to damage him, sometimes all the way to 10% health, but when he burrowed, by the time he resurfaced he was fast on his way to 100% health and was always back to 100% by the time I dropped the next keg. Very annoying.
I did him again today with the exact same team build, the only change being that I took Sprint and Protective Spirit on my own bar. I may have used PS once, and I used Sprint often. Cyndr fell easily. He did not insta-kill anyone and there may have only been one or two H/H deaths, and each was quickly resurrected. When his carapace fell the first time, we got him down to about 5% health before he burrowed again. When he re-emerged, he definitely was NOT regenning health like he was last night. I was able to drop three kegs before his health was even up to 50%, and he died fairly soon after.
Anyway, my observation was that last night his health regenerated ridiculously fast, while today it did not. Last night appeared to be very difficult (if not impossible) with H/H, while today it was very doable. So either his behavior is somewhat erratic, or a simple speed buff for running the kegs makes a world of difference.
My team was me (D-Slash war), MoW and Livia (blood necros), Sousuke (SH ele), Mhenlo, Lina, Herta, Zho.

Noticed early he seemed immune to pain inverter now. Killed him twice last week with it, and today the hex would cast, but not hex him. Also he was bleeding today, which people said he was not able to do.

He's still easy enough to kill with H/H. No kegs necessary. No waiting for him to get up close and personal with Budger.
Me, Jin & Pyre = touch
Tahlkora = LoD spammer
Zho = interrupt
Lo Sha = interrupt in dandy threads
Mhenlo = healer
Lina = prot
Cyndr = dead

It's all about the team and skill set. We had 2 D's, an A, an ele, and two Hero monks.
We were able to take the kegs over to Cyndr and kill him on the first try.

You got another person who helped carry those barrels what made it a lot easier. I used like five monks and when wurm went down and fast.

it took me about 4/5 runs at the guy before i got lucky (in his spawn location). 4 runs of me swearing at my monitor and getting told off by the wife. On the 5 attempts he spawned next to the dwarf straight away. a quick game of track and field later with bomb dropping and he was dead

Take away his HP regen? That may be too much of a nerf. Maybe just slow down how fast his shell regens.

I managed to HH this after the "buff" or whatever it is that people are calling it. Yes, it was a pain, but it was doable. The big thing is to make sure you have a monk hero with prot spirit and shield of deflection or shield of regen.
Keep the hench back until you're ready to run the final keg, then spread them out around the room, run the final keg and spam degen. It is pretty easy to keep Cyndr at -10 degen, inspite of his regen with a blood necro and an illusion mesmer. Since the degen continues while he does his duck for cover routine, you're still doing damage till he comes up for air. Signal the hench back as soon as he goes to hide, and do the keg run all over again. Third keg, get the hench around him and spam that degen. You should not need a third keg run.
And yes, his shell DOES prevent degen working, so you do have to take it down.
