gw044 - Hell's Precipice - area after 3 Portals and before dead Rurik
1. start mission Hell's Precipice
2. fight to the area the has the 3 portals
3. disregard the portals, not our objective, and follow path to next area
4. walk the edges, especially the NW part of the beach
gw042 - the Great Northern Wall
1. start mission
2. fight or run to cut scene, your choice
3. after cut scene, run back to wall normally
4. at last bridge you will see a path to your right, group of Charr mid way down, take this path
5. towards ends you see old stone gateway, stand in middle of gateway, turn left and move to small area between gate and rock wall, gate should be on your left
6. if you hit the right spot most of that area will uncover, a small bit will be left but you can't get it
gw042 - Fort Ranik
1. start mission
2. stay to the west side of map as much as possible
You won't uncover everything because that requires access to the arena and you are probably past level 10.

You realise pvp areas have no effect on cartographer titles right?

The Arenas in Tyria do count towards the Cartographer title, but they are not required for the title.
You're welcome Kenny.

Pyromancer,
I won't flame you because you use texmod however most people using texmod will not get to this thread because it's obvious where the missing spots are. The only questions that remain are the ones you have, how do I get there.
I am going to give you some generic advice.
When exploring with texmod it's not about easy small spots anymore, it's getting rid of the large chuncks. You use those easy small spots if you are stuck on/near 99.9%.
Now on those spots.
Nr 1 looks very small, I had to look twice to see where it would actually be.
Spot nr 3 is also small.
What you do on those spots is the following.
Go with a character to a large unexplored area. Move to the wall and see how much uncovers and where exactly on the minimap and radar. Move a little while hugging and see where and how the rest uncovers. Watch closely where those areas are on your minimap and radar.
What you do this way is determining the actual range of the exploration area.
To uncover the marked spots you need to be on the edge of this range if you move too close you won't explore.
Since this is the Tyrian map you need to get to that spot and walk and twist a little.
Inch forward, slightly adjust the angle you are looking, inch backward.
Not fun to do and very time consuming. Remember to be on or near the edge of the exploration area or you won't uncover.
Spot two and four are different.
Spot two is most likely two or three places where you have to stand to uncover. Use the method described above.
Spot four is most likely explored from the corner in the north area.
The reason I say this is because the fog has two types of blue and the thicker is on the north side. This could indicate it's explored from that angle and not the south part in the area at the collector.
Sorry I can't help you in more detail, I don't know every minor glitch in the map and am not really familiar with texmod.

thanks for the help, i got up to 98.3% now. The main parts i need to do are lornars pass and the frost gate mission. Ive done plenty of droks runs so im familiar with the terrain.
I just thought it would be easier to be running around towns/ouposts getting more map than running past level 22 ice imps lol
Thanks again

It is.
However, as long as there are large covered parts you still need to get those.
I doubt the Texmod map is perfect enough to let you actually skip a large part if you have cleared all the tiny bits.
Completely skipping Lornar's is impossible.
You need to do at least the upper or the lower part of it to get to 100%.
On an almost perfectly scraped map you will have to explore to about the cave with the trolls when starting from the top. Every tiny spot you missed means having to go south furter.

I too am getting the same message with textmod, am up to 97.2% explored, most explored using peoples questions here on guru for their map woes, I have made sure that gw is running DX9 as textmod asks, and even got a proven working mods from a couple buddies. Going to keep at it for now the old fashioned pic comparing way, but would love to see this persons post answered.
Well, kept trudging away, at 97.6% now, and no clue where to look for more. Using pics from here and other fansites, I have all of the desert, shiverpeaks(northern and southern), really not trying to be lazy on this, just been stuck at over 95% for the last 2 years(started exploring from day 1 with my character).

When you are comparing pics take a look at posting #2 when comparing.
The spots mentioned there were missed by at least several players back in the pre-Texmod days.
At least some of them should clear some fog for you.
Now the real 'problem' when comparing is that there are maps creatied with and without EotN.
The EotN upgrade did not only change the full map, but also the details on some U-maps.
It's not always easy to compare a pre- and a post-EotN map.
My best surgestion is taking one of the maps in #2 (the "Maps with the 17 July update can be found here:" part) and adjust your resolution to match any of those.
Then make a screenshot of the full world without towns (shift + printscreen) and compare that screenshot to the map from #2.
The differences are most probably on your map, there are only a very few left on mine.
Good luck comparing and exploring

Touche. It's where Guild Hall used to be before Battle Islands came along. Not accessible anymore but after GWEN map update it doesn't even count to % anymore as far as I'm aware.

It's the old Deldrimor Arena and since the April 24 update it's accessible again.
'Easy' 0.1% exploration though beating Hell's can be a pain for some players.
Consider mapping this area together with Hell's mission, there is a large part that is skipped during the cutscene in that mission.
