However, the vaettir all spawn in groups of 4. Start by flagging the HnH right near the gate and crefully pull a single group. They take a bit of work to take down but as long as you manage to keep it down to taking a group at a time you should do alright. Try to at least daze or interrupt their ether feast, they have really high armor and when they heal it just makes the whole thing last longer.
Pull the 2-3 groups that are really close to the shrine and then cap it. You dont have to be right on it, just close to it. Watch your aggro bubble carefully, if one of the remaining vaettir wanders too close just back off the shrine a few moments.
As for builds to handle the original few pulls I dont have any for them... I solo them with my Ele but whenever I go in groups they're a pain to deal with.
|
Thanks this worked. 2 quick pulls around the shrine cleared enough for my entire group to cap.
BTW, don't discount that many quests GIVE you rep for finishing the quest. Blood Washes Blood gives 1500 Norn rep (even though the wiki says 150 for repeats). That adds up.

BTW, you get some nice bonus rep from the first time you do a mission in HM as well. So if you already finished the game, the first time you repeat those missions in HM, you get a decent amount of rep per mission (ie: 1500 Norn for BWB).

Assault on Stronghold can be done easy with a 55 as well. Just pack something like Shielding Hands, and Mental Block. ( Shield of Abs would work wonders too, but i don't have NF, so can't comment on that). Add something like SoJ to that, and walk into aggro range. There's just a bunch of Dominators that you want to avoid, but the main part is melee or elemental dmg, which is easily dealt with.

*cough* it's been 2+ weeks since anyone's updated the first post which still contains glaring inaccuracies. Has this been abandoned?

but returning a book with 13 missions give you 15k. They worth the trouble.

Seems about the same based on the numbers posted.
(A) Complete 13 missions (skipping the longest three) takes 98 minutes and yields 15k. Double this will take 196 minutes and yields 30k. Due to the number of missions, it's probably not unreasonable to add a few minutes overhead on top of the 196.
(B) Complete all 16 missions takes 200 minutes and yield 30k.
So either way we are looking at about 150 points per minutes.

Is anyone going to update that more than useful thread about the missions, and some guide to do each one?

Actually, I just filled up 4 HM books this weekend, took awhile, but it wasn't too hard..
There are some H-H able quests, but still it got monotonous...
I have tips though:
1) In Warband of Brothers; Just rush the boss in the end.. It save 5 mins or so...
2) In Destruction's Depths, Bring a Splinter barrage EoE ranger with you, and when you get to the area where you have to defend the norn, just go to the left side, and left the Splinter barrage work his magic..
3) Bring a Saurus bonder for Assault on the Stronghold..
4) A gate too far is just gay..
4.5) Don't cap the shrine in Blood Washes Blood, just bring UB; Also, if you bring Sabway, at the end, Macro the Curses Necro on the monk boss, and concentrate on the monk boss to bring him down.
5) Seriously, update the main post..

Ideally you will need: I am Unstoppable! and Pain Inverter
Start by killing the first stationary Destroyer on the left and then kill the 2 incoming destroyers. Next kill the sstationary Destroyer. Run I am Unstoppable and cast Pain Inventor on the Great Destroyer and then allow him to attack. Then just interrupt him so he used Enraged Blast on your party, two of these under the effects of Pain Inventor will kill him.
Time to Complete: 2 - 5 minutes (Pain Inventor speeds things up!)

GG...
I'd bring Arcane echo, and maybe even echo, for pain inverter. Just to make sure he dies...

And yeah... at a range of 2-5 mins, ATFH isnt going to be the mission that'll make your run longer. We should really be more in interested the builds people use to do Destruction's Depths faster.

TIP: Bring a Bonder Hero in A TFH if you're H/Hing it, along with Mhenlo, Lina, Herta, and Zho.. It really helps in the beggining and towards the end of ATFH...
I'll post the hero builds I used to H/H the quest later..

Is this accurate? Wiki says you would have to have 12 pages in HM to get 12k. That means you would have to do 12 quests correct??

4 quests gives you 4.5k. You get 5 quests for free when you obtain the book.

This is purported to be the fastest way to max rep, but has anyone compared it directly to other ways? For example, how does it compare to what most people get on average for a PPM doing snowman dungeon HM? Everything here is just a comparison of doing 3 pages vs. all of them.
I have been doing a combination for a while now. I've been doing Snowman for deldrimor (never thought to measure PPM, but I'm guessing it's around 150) and 3 pages for Asura (ATFH, GOLEM, Nornbear - 7 minutes average per quest = slightly under 150 PPM). I could definitely use the variation. 3 quests and 1 dungeon over and over and over does get monotonous.

Ok I need some help on 2 of these missions. I am trying to H/H these...
Warband of Brothers: Everything goes perfectly smooth up until this one part.
On the second level after rescuing the guy you go north. When you reach the northernmost point there is a group up there and I cant seem to sneak past and they are owning me in mere seconds before I can really do enough damage to at least get their numbers down.
Its really 2 groups, each has a prophet. The smaller group just has a few seekers. The other group has 6 guys total including alot of casters. I have tried multiple builds and I am really stuck on this point.
I try to fight the smaller group when the other group patrols alittle bit away. It gives me time to kill the prophet but the other group comes back pretty quick and then im screwed.
Oolas Lab: Getting there... I couldnt get there on my own with H/H. Had to recruit someone to come with me. Wind riders are tearing me up....
