Being effective in pvp with IW mesmer
Any IW mesmers out there care to share their stratages in pvp?
I use disruption skills along with IW and I can generally shut down any caster and of corse do plenty of damage when needed yet sometimes I seem to get into a slump where I'm just stuck chasing a caster or monk around in circles (they arn't able to cast but I just cant finish the job). I have a feeling it's a group problem and not specifcally just me because their are other times when I can disrupt and plain roll over people. So can anyone give some advice? Battle strats, skill combos, etc?
Currently my favorite skill setup is:
IW, Flurry, Distracting blow, Power leak, Arcane Conundrum, Blackout, Illusion of Weakness, Etherial Burden
Thanks.

I play IW me/w as a sort of anti-anticaster. The wonder of IW is that it has 100% armor penetration, and so you can tear warriors to shreds with it.
Try luring an anti caster warrior to come after you, then hop into a stance and slash away. With IW I am using flurry and defensive/disciplined stance. Usually the rube you just fooled into chasing you will realise his mistake after his life bar is dropping so fast and runs. Thats when I imagined burden/conjure phantasm for the kill.

I have unfortunately never played a IW warrior, as I have yet to get far enough to steal it. However, I have seen many builds played by people I know in my area. They do a lot of things very well, but normally rely on focus.
However, some things to share:
-A great anti-warrior skill is Sympathetic Visage. It keeps them from using the best of their skills, and until someone discovers where to get Flourish, it'll remain a potent skills.
-Many IW builds substitute Imagined Burden in the place of Sprint for PvP. It serves many functions, from keeping opposing warriors off to help the team finish someone off.
-Using Frenzy without proper protection is suicide. It really hurts when a Vampiric Gaze hits your for 98 damage. Make sure to have a couple counters or a Backfire in place before you enter this stance. People are returning to Flurry to provide the IAS for IW.
-Lastly, the rarely-seen combo of Distortion + Bonetti's Stance or Spirit of Failure. If played correctly, it is unbeatable through physical damage. I personally haven't seen it used by any of my friends, but it's something I look forward to trying.

IW makes you deal X amount of chaos damage in melee combat. Your sword never hits so power attack, bleeding, deep wound, anything that require you to hit will not work. Also chaos damage ignores defense completely so it will ignore all armor.
