Will that work out with the lifetaps in blood magic?

Yes the life taps are still useable with warrior primary but conside the nec/war would have more mana and do less damage with a melee weapon. Conversly a war/nec would have a lot lower mana pool but would have the option to churn out more melee damage (via the warrior primary attribute Strength) as well as take more damage with the armor.

I'd go Nec/War. There a ton of fun, and there a great support charater. Plus Soul Reaping will keep your energy up when your cutting everyone down with life stealing spells. Curses and blood magic would be the way to go, with just one of the warriors weapons skills (sword in your case)

I suggest the W/N instead personally. There aren't any major benefits to going Necro primary, but there are lots of benefits to going Warrior primary.

i agree, you should go war/nec not nec/war. Mainly for the higher armor rate, and also the more damage for melee that you would get. Also, necros dont get that great of a primary stat. Wars get strength, which increases melee dmg stuff like that. While when you are a necro primary, the stats that you would get is soul reaping, which is every time a creature dies (by your hands) you get 1-12 energy from it. It gets higher with the more skill points in it obviously. Really it all goes down to what you wanna do, would you rather sit in the back of a group more and cast, debuff/nuke? or would you rather be in the middle of everything fighting everything and meleeing everything.

I havent tried a necro since release but as of the last beta you would recieve the energy benefit from soul reaping whever anything died regardless of who killed it, even when the ranger spirits died and when your necro minions health ran out.

The problem with warrior as a secondary is not only the armor, but there are so many nice skills in the primary attribute (more than any other class I think) that you will miss out on.

You guys think you guys should think about somthing u havent tried. Im a Necro/Warrior, only lvl 8 but i also play the same build on a PvP releam. Its an aswome build if you want to kill warriors/any, and a good percentage of other class. You can even tank multipul warriors if you go Vampiric ( just what i call it mostly Bloodmagic), but if you run across a Main Me and i do mean Main for some reason the sub class Me dont do it. But the main Me will rock me so just a little from first hand

Not really I test a warrior/nerco with Axe, hammer, sword. Then the same with a Necro/warrior at lvl 20 same skills same weapons. Too my suprise the Necro/warrior build won, you could use more of the in your face skills like vampiric touch. Then with a sword and shield, for pvp put no points in Soul reaping. Most damage is done off of combos, its not too hard to keep up mana when useing Aderline too. I just had a guy on my lunch tell me "damn I have never seen a w/m go done that fast let alone 2 in the time it would take one, nice" no they both werent on me the first one tolk ruffly 8 secs to die. The sec was pounding on the monk had 3/4 life left, he went in about 4 sec. The monk start to cast a rez but run because with out healing he would of been in about 4 sec to. So in a matter of about 20 sec a team of 2 w/m, a m/r(i dont know about that build) and a r/me, there whole defence was gone. This was a team of misfits, you know body had team work, but because i know my targets and killed them fast we won. So if you want to fight warriors Make one. But watch for casters if you have a team of dumbasses that wont stay on a caster you will get screwed, And hard

Necro/warrior is alot of fun, due to high energy and high energy regen you can churn out the lifetaps and any curses you may like. You lose out on armor and str, but dont think that will make you an underdog in PvP, the necro/warrior can throw a surprising amount of damage quickly while keeping their own health up at same time.

Dont have to use the high energy ones unless you call 10 energy high. I have no necro gear exept the armor it self. I carry a sword and shield, so i only have 30 mana. If I could of i would of went w/n i like the look of a warrior better. Its not the amount engery you have as a W/N that gimps you its the regain rate, and there is no armor i have seen for a warrior that ups that

aye thats what i mean, the regen rate makes a big difference, the higher energy lvl is handy to do alot of damage straight off too though

Yes I would have to suggest a Warrior/Necromance. I currently play as one and love it. The best part is you can Tank and as soon as your life starts getting low...use that mana in order to steal life from your opponents. As soon as you get used to all the skills available you'll love this character....
...God knows I do.

I played a W/N in the last BWE and decided to switch to a N/W in retail. Currently level 15 and I haven't even once felt regrets in my decision. Yes, you get lesser amor, but in my opinion the greater ability to quickly regain health (while doing damage) through the Necromancer's Blood Magic line far surpasses the small damage mitigation bonuses of the warrior armor over the necro armor.
Warriors have (unless my memory is completely failing me) 20 base energy. Necros have 30. Also a necromancer your armor comes with +energy regen, making for an even larger energy pool. Now I suppose it depends on how much you intend upon using this energy, but with Well of Blood and Vampiric Touch combined with my warrior adrenaline skills I am a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
I think it's definitely a personal choice, but I don't think it's a "You MUST go W/N" like some people are making it out to be. There are advantages for either side beyond the primary attributes.

Frodo, my hint for you: I had some experiences with a Nec/War aswell and i gotta say, it works more than well for PvP and PvE too. Drop the Tactics and go Bloodmagic and Swordsmanship and rest into Soul Reaping, it can be pretty useful in many situations. Now you got two options, either go 12 10 8 Bloodmagic Swordsmanship Soulreaping or 12 12 3 Bloodmagic Swordsmanship Soulreaping! Both ways will work out, just depends on your own taste, if you wanna have a higher average swords-damage per hit then use 12 12 3 but if you prefer spamming blood-spells then pump more into Soul Reaping. I by myself wouldn't use tactics at all...I mean dude, with Blood Magic you got many spells dealing damage and healing yourself, why stances then?? Just my oppinion.

if you put it that w/n look like god. The thing i dont understand about all this is why you guys can stay the w/n and just go 12-12-3 or 12-9-9 weapon skill-blood magic-soulreaping. WTH is the difference between the two? one you get soulreaping the other you get strenth. Frodo, if you wanna do more combat dmg you should stay w/n. But if you wanna have more energy/energy regen/be a bit more caster based, then you could go n/w. i dont have w/n or even a n/w, so i dont know anything but what i have read up on them, and what other people have said about them (not just on this thread though). I was considering making one, so i started a research on em. It all comes down to the same thing with EVERY build, what do you wanna do?
