PvE: Warrior -> attack or defend?
Hi Guys.
My new char is a W/N. None of my friends is a melee attacker - so when we play I'm (and sometimes the henchman stephan) are to only tanks.
I have quite a hard time to decide what to do: for example if there are healers behind the enemies, we need to take them down.
Should I rush up to them (past all the enemies)? This way, we get the healers down quite fast, but after the healers are dead, all my mates are surrounded by the enemies and noone is attacking me. That is not the way it's supposed to be...
Or should I stay back, right in front of the casters and try to block the enemies and let the casters take down the healers? But most of the time, the enemies run past me - so I can hardly stop them from attacking the casters... But I can take the enemies down and so keeping the casters from taking some damage...
It's hard to decide... What do you guys do?
Is there a way to stop a mob from running past me?
I know, it all depends on the situation, but in which situation would you stay back or attack?
Please keep in mind that my question is only focused on PvE not PvP!
Thanks!

If you can attack the enemy healers without entering the aggro range (small radar circle) of the next group of enemies, do it. Each healer can easily handle 3+ enemies if the rest of the group has some defensive skills (meaning a couple of debuffs or wards).
If the enemy healer is close to another group of foes, kill the incoming warriors first. It will be slowler as they'll be healed, but it doesn't matter. Then retreat to pull the healer towards you, and kill him when he's in safe ground (out of detection range).
If your group is mostly composed of weak characters without debuffs, and if your healer can't keep up with the damage, they'll have to let you tank and use 'safe casting'. It means they must stay far behind (out of detection range) and let you gather the initial aggro. Unable to detect your team mates, enemies will start attacking you and any other warrior. Once you've consolidated your aggro, your team mates can start using spells.
