Hello, I recently got max damage bow that has damage +15% when health is above 50%. This is a good good enhancement and I'd like to know how to make it better, so I was wondering what the best string and grip would be to put on it. I'm a R/Mo if it matters. Thanks.

No, the max damage on a bow is 15-28.

And I think Theneler wants to know what kind of bow it is. Longbow? Flatbow?

If you are a R/Mo with healing spells to support your team, the Zealous string would definately be the best to use. Combine that with Barrage and you can keep spamming orison or other cheap heal spells.

As for bow grip, I'll personally go for extra health, so then you can use some major/superior runes without too much hit on your health.

all bows can get max damage

yes it's 15-28

As for strings, I personally like +% poison or elemental strings

Depends your build - Zealous is very good if your using skills like barrage and dual shot.

Personally I use an Ebon Bow string for + damage against monks.

i think theneler realized all bows can get max damage. he was simply asking what kind of bow it was. it matters, you know

in my opinion, sundering and elemental bow strings are the most useful. poison string does not have poison on it, it only lengthens the poison affect when you use poison skills such as apply poison and poison arrow. i dont really see and advantage from using zealous. it does not offer any additional damage and you receive -1 energy regen (very bad for Rangers). using barrage with zealous doesnt really make any difference. yes zealous also has +1 gain energy for every hit but your energy still depletes as fast if you use other Ranger attack skills. barrage is still a good elite skill. only if you can use poison with it but you cant. melandru's arrow is a great elite skill. a must get for Rangers.

You need Zealous if you have any desire to use Tiger's Fury.

Vampiric +5 strings are amazing, if you can find one.

Besides those two they're all pretty meh. Use a Poisoner's with Poison Arrow, or just a plain 10% Sundering piece if there's nothing better.

Toss in a +enchanting or +armor grip and you're good to go.
