Actually a Necro/Ranger can do that by themselves without needing to kill team mates.
Bring a lvl 1 pet, dies to some gimp ae very quick, you get energy bonus via soul reap, then summon undead, rez pet, rinse repeat. If you get hurt mid process, just use Soul Feast on your pet instead of summon, and then switch back into cycle.

I don't see how this can work that well. When your pet dies, you lose all your skills/spells for 8 seconds. Same when you rez your pet.

Yeah I've seen that happen a couple times. Koreans also almost always rush your priest, straight up, at the start. And they seem to be very fond of monk secondaries. Almost all of them are monk secondary, a few are mesmer secondary.

Except Vengeance has a 60 second recharge.
This is more practical in HoH, where people wait untilt he 2 minute timer is up, leaving the necro teams alot of time to build up minions.
Or you can go faster by using Unyielding Aura.
This is probably going to be the new flavour of the month.

Actually, weirdest thing about self-sacrafice deaths:
They don't always work.
Every time after a battle ends (rather than the start), if the penalty won't carry over, I spam Blood is Power on an ally and kill myself. Sometimes, after the first 2 uses knocking me down to 34% of my max HP, the damage lessens. It went 187, 187, 60, 40, 20, 20, 5, 5, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 etc, or something like that, and I just wouldn't die. Used up all of my energy and I still couldn't kill myself.
Other times, 4 uses and I'm gone.
In regards to pets for this, it won't work the way it's being discussed. Sure, a pet is a throw-away midbattle, but what they're doing is getting an undead army up before the battle has even started. Glyph of Renewal or Quickening Zephyr with vengeance on multiple people, and you should be able to rez+kill your ally pretty fast. Vengeance takes 4 seconds to cast, while animate takes 3, so it ought to be pretty hard to screw up as well.
(4 seconds casting + 4 seconds to self kill, 8 seconds in total to get it done. 30 seconds recharge, so 4 people would need vengeance to chain it constantly without worrying about the recharge timer, with a 50% timer reduction.)
With a fast connection, I'd imagine you could get 8-11 fiends/horrors out before the enemy gets to you, or 16-22 minions.

Swap to a vampiric weapon to finish yourself off.

read the link someone provided
the tactic was thought up by Lulu's guild (sorry, dont know the guild name), and they say they've won HoH 5 times or more with this tactic, read the link for more info, but here's the basic run down:
6 players:
2 Suiciders - Necro's with vamp. weapon, Blood is power - and if needed they swap to sup/major rune'd armour, which kills them instantly (-50 * 5 health)
2 rez'ers - Me/Mo - max fast cast, and then they can resurect much quicker - they can use rebirth to "move" the corpses around, as the suicide'ers just die instantly once the DP creeps up (or down)
2 Necro's - equiped with Vetra's [blank] - the one that heals all your minions, and some other spells
read the link, it's got lots of other options as well, such as putting death nova on the minions, then killing them with vetra's [blank] - the one that steals life from minions

lol flame bait for the love of god go live in korea. they are no quicker then us i can safely say their were far more american teams doing this prior to the koreans.
