Team "themes" for Tombs
You know I would really like this thread to grow. In the strategy forum it baffles me that no winning strategies, losing strategies, or generally any strategies at all are really posted here. Trust me I did a search, no need to post "go do a search." So without further ado, I would like to start a theme thread. A "theme" is something the 8 man team does to win their way to the Hall of Heroes. I'll start with the first entry. Try to explain what your team consisted of btw in future posts.
special notes--
*it is best to use Teamspeak/Ventrilo for faster info
*it is best to take 5 minutes to make sure everyone knows what they will be doing before you start the Tombs.
"Balthazaar's Spirit" theme
group consisted of-
2 W/M
2 Monks
1 Elementalist
1 Necro
1 cant remember the class
1 Ranger who dropped out immediatly ( so we played with 7)
What we were shooting for here was a group that relied heavily on the spell Balthazaar's Spirit. Both W/M's packed it as did the Monks.
What would happen is the 2 Warriors would push the frontline and try to get as many of the enemy around them as they could. Extremely easy to do on the maps that involved a Dais. The Warrior/Monks would cast Balthasaars on themselves. This spell deals around 20 holy damage every second for 10 seconds. When their timer ran out the monks immediatly reapplied it to them. Now this wasnt a quick kill on another team. I would say it took at least 1.5 of the normal time to kill another pick-up group. But we found was that it put alot of pressures on other teams and we were killing 10 times MORE groups. It is really hard to stand up to this kind of AOE damage and puts alot of pressure on other teams Monks. As an inexperienced monk myself, Healing was a breeze for me as was taking a beating from an enemy warrior. Anyhow, we did a great job of going from round to round and a highlight for me was winning two back to back 6 man rounds.
I know there are alot of other "themes" out there so come and share them with our community. It will be a welcome change to see a growing "team coordinated" topic rather then the many "which is the leetest class that's the roxxor" threads. In my opinion, whatever class you are doesnt matter, but the 7 people with you and what you are doing TOGETHER does.
