Guild Lord Ganking?
We were fighting Le Grawl Maniaque and all of a sudden our GL drops like mad and we lose. We never saw anyone run by us and even the majority of their guild was out fighting with us. No way 1-2 can kill a GW in less than 20 seconds... How did they do it?

Three can do it mighty fast, if they have the right skills.
It's possible to sneak past, if people are busy fighting and not watching. There's plenty of skills that do lots of damage, and a guild lord can drop really fast. -10 degen is alot, and adding crazy air ele spike damage or something more will hurt alot. A R/N can put -10 or more on the GL easy (even though -10 is all that counts until someone casts healing breeze). Pets can help do damage sneakily too.

I was just thinking the other day of something. 5 e/me (or me/e for fast casting) all with firestorm and arcane echo. With 10 firestorms on something it is technically like 40 damage every 1/10th of a second. I dare you to find anything that can survive that.

Or shielding hands or any enchantment really... but imagine if there was a world without enchantments! (or decent enchantment removal)

A team is not going to waste their time with degen when ganking a guild lord.
20 dps on a unit with 2k-2.5k hp is really nothing.

20dps over a 25-30 secound period of time (Necro Health degen skills) Is alot of damage, why would'nt it be done? Your healers are kept busy trying to stop his health degen healing breeze etc, and with a decent game plan you can turn enchantments like that into damage, as that happens monks start to neglect fellow party members and the team can crumble. I wont deny there arent better ways of doing it, but... that's not to say that wont work either.
As an answer to the first question.. Greneths balance can do 500 damage in a singular hit to a guild lord. Hell if you're really really trying to hype the skill you can do 700 using Superior Vigor demonic flesh etc. And if you're willing to use Necro/War skills you can boos your health to 900 and easily drop a -800 in 1 hit using it. Then again that's involving seriosu self mutilation :P

Grenth's Balance can do that much damage, but don't forget you still have to manage to get to the Guild Lord (through the door and what not) to manage to pull that off. Any team running the number of necros required to spike out the guild lord using Grenth's Balance has to have what like 3 or 4 of them. Hate to say it but if your fighting a guild that can't manage to fight off a team with 4 necros, it deserves to lose.

No degen methods still blow for ganking the GL. You want to put out as much spike dps as possible so that the GL can die before the enemy monks come back.
When you are trying to gank the GL, you don't have 25-30 seconds to pull it off before enemy monks arrive (unless they are busy ganking yours or really dumb/clueless). Spike dps is the key to do that, not weak dot.
