I dont know if this is an exploit or not... but I heard someone talking about how they can still get rare drops from Drakes as often as before the nerfing... does anyone know anything about this?

Actually, it depends on the place they were speaking of. Lightning Drakes routinely give me goodies of a yellow or purple flavor, and I mean ROUTINELY.

It is all on how and where you look.

i hang out at elona, and 1/2 the time now I get nothing. no $$$. no crest. nothing. maybe 5% of my kills result in a blue or purple drop. The drops were certainly better 3 weeks ago.

hehe, I still get things in elona and even in gates of kryta just the other day I ended up with a + 30hp hammer haft. Heh. I find purples and golds all the time from drakes. So I dont think it is a bug I just think going there everyday is gonna get you stuff but stopping there on and off one day or two days out of the week isnt gonna hurt.

One thing that gets me, is I've been playing abotu a month now, on Hell's Precipice, and I have had 2 gold items drop. Thats it, in total. I've had a few purple, maybe 10, and plenty of blue.
I've talked to people who get 5-6 gold drops a DAY. It's like you haveto play a lot to get the gold drops, that are a:worth money and b:tend to have the good runes, and items on them. When I bought this game, it said that you wouldn't have to play a lot to get ahead in the game, and it seems to me that you do.

I have sold about 1000 irredescent griffon wings in the past 4 days, Think I got one gold drop, and that was from the worm in that area.

So anyone telling you they are getting drops off griffons is not being truthful. Or they are extremely lucky. I only know what I have seen.

Now there is a spot where drops are nice 2-3 golds per map, and a few purples as well. Obviously will not be posting it here, but there are spots left, and if people keep quiet they will continue to stay that way.

For the griffon thing, try blessed griffons in snake dance on the rankor side. You just gotta be careful not aggroing the summit and sometimes an arcanist is mixed in there which pisses me off really badly since im doing an ele/mo build that relies on like 6enchants.....anyways some good drops there. I got leme think 2purple and 1gold though the gold was a crappy healing ankah , but the purple was both max dmg in 1hour of farming....not to mention a clean max dmg fellblade.
