WOW I am SO sick of people using Tigers fury on axe warriors. STOP IT. It's not better than frenzy in fact it's worse. You'll almost ALWAYS have downtime. The shorter the downtime you more damage you sacrifice for points into beast mastery. It costs 10 energy, frenzy costs 5 and lasts 8 seconds.

I truly can't even comprehend what would make people possibly think that Tigers Fury can even compete with Frenzy. OH EM GEE YOU TAKE DOUBLE DAMAGE WITH FRENZY. FFS From what? I swear to god when I ask people this half the time I get an answer like "chain light". Oh hell watch out for the uber spike teams you might get owned! Spike sucks, it's always sucked, if you lose a spike team trust me it's not because you're using frenzy.

Then there is smiting. A: You're not the target so you'll barely get hit B: NATURES RENEWAL.

Lastly and probably the only start of an argument I can see is putrid. Why are you being hit with putrid when frenzy is on though? You're not going to be near any of your monks corpses if they, god forbid, die so you shouldn't be hit with those so that leaves the other team. YOU'RE THE ONE KILLING. When you're about to kill someone turn on sprint tada no more frenzy. Why is your necro missing the putrids in the first place.

Oh and just another reason that Tigers Fury sucks is that it rapes any axe warrior attempting to use fear me. It'll be weak because you can't take out even more points, it'll never get cast because it'll never charge because TIGERS FURY SUCKS.

lol you say no one targets warriors... once they figure out you use frenzy believe me mr obs flame is gonna LAUGH when you take like 300 damage.

i personally go with flurry. it racks up the adrenaline nice and quick.

and no TF does not 'suck', it may be overused, but that doesnt mean its garbage.

from where i sit, the damage speed-increasers are like this:

TF: downside, skills reset for 5 seconds, diff attribute
flurry: 33% less damage, lasts 5 seconds
frenzy: double damage

your choice really.

although i do agree that TF is better used on a ranger.

i never tried this but use frenzy until you see someone wand you... then switch to flurry. waste of space but it would be amusing anyway

TF Sucks for the above reason. No one uses obsidian flame and no one will hit me with it if they do. I've NEVER been hit with obsidian flame, I've been using a frenzy war for over a month. NEVER.

Flurry sucks because it does less damage and takes just as much energy as Tigers (since you have to use it twice). Flurry basically IS tigers fury. Flurry does less damage, TF does less damage because you sacrifice attributes. They both suck.

heh ive only been in the arena for a few hours on my frenzy warrior and ive been hit by earthquake, obs flame, all the lightning attacks, etc.

people target warriors. (remember this is a *random arena setting*)

and yes Iras they do notice once they see you take about 200 from some heavy attack. once they notice, they just start targeting you full time in the off chance they manage to hit you hard again and then laugh because they did like 300 damage to you and they can go brag to their buddies about how much you sucked

in a tombs/arenas setting i agree frenzy is the way to go. but in random arenas... you will get hit. maybe its because someoen spray painted 'noob' on my back in the arena tho

imagine this position, you hacking away at an ele, while your team does god knows what. your hp, about 300/500.

you get your adrenaline up, and start getting heavy on this guy. he turns around, and uses obs flame on you. woops you have 100 hp and falling. then he notices hes also like that and uses res sig on the warrior behind you.

wariror behind you runs up and sends you home.

although i was being rather precise with the scenario, something equivalent happens all the time.

not to mention anyone using those aoes that hit everyone around them (BA, aftershock, inferno, you name it) tend to hit me pretty hard.

Frenzy is easily a better choice. However, in a 4v4, especially random, when you likely have no healing and people do target you, its not a good choice. Just shows how useless 4v4 is.

That's not what i didn't understand. What i don't undestand is why would you go home when you can get off frenzy (i.e. with Sprint) and when you have at least 1 healing monk looking at your back.

Gotten smoked using frenzy too many times in GvG.

Best choice for adrenaline build up IMO is flurry and FGJ.

For normal attack speed enhancment Frenzy is good but you have to be BOTH lucky AND skilled at picking when you can get away with it.

Its very possible to accomplish acceptably but those examples I just posted make it hazardous.

If you have ranger as a secondary/primary why not use the better choice? >.<
And thats only NON attack skills that are penalized by a 5 second down time, and wtf are you doing using non attack skills right after you activated your attack speed buff?

33% more attack speed.:

TF: 5 second non-attack skill downside, skills reset for 5 seconds, Lasts 7 seconds with 7 beast mastery.
immunity to mesmers.

flurry: 33% less damage, lasts 5 seconds, no attribute
good without protection enchantments on you.

frenzy: double damage , no attribute
good with protection enchantments on you.
