Can't be a knockdown with an Axe... other than Bull's Strike/Charge.

Well the core of an Axe build is probably Penetrating Blow/Eviscerate/Executioners Strike
with Axe at 16.
For Random Arenas I´d add either Disrupting Chop or Axe Rake depending on if you tend to have problems with people running or throwing spells, for an 8 man team it is rather mot asking foir the killer build since you should always try to get as much cross character synergy as possible, hence making cookie cutters not quite as useful as in the arenas.
Rez Sig is a no brainer on a warrior, Plague Touch is handy if you do not have Monks behind you. Sprint always comes in handy.
The last two slots depend on your playstyle. You could go either 10 curses and get parasitic bond for a somewhat random heal, or get Rigor Mortis, which is always apprecitated by all the other physical damage dealers.
For Great Justice is also neat for a quick recharge of your adrenal skills.
Basically going axe frees up room for some energy based skills, which a warrior is always short of especially if you´re using the zealous haft, so go nuts

Read this thread
It's pretty long but it's very informative and you should definitely be able to figure out how to run a proper axe warrior from it. You'll also feel much better that you actually understand why the skills you use are good.

Well, the basics of a Warrior build is pretty much Frenzy, Sprint, and attack skills, and maybe something from your secondary. Axe or Hammer are the better choices.
For an Axe, it looks something like this:
16 Axe
9 Strength
10 in attribute from secondary
Frenzy
Penetrating Blow
Eviscerate
Executioner's Strike
Disrupting Chop
Sprint
Skill from secondary
Res Signet
