No we're not; or at least I hope it's not coming across that way.
I applaud Zehly for coming to the boards with a legitimate question. He/She(avatar is unclear) made a mistake in Tombs, was made fun of for it, and came back here to learn what the mistake was. It gives Zehly a chance to learn and us a chance to educate. Everyone benefits from the situation. The trick is keeping the misinformation off the boards.
Look at it this way: A lot of people suck when they start playing. I know I did. If you blithely assume that what you're doing is great strategy, guess what? You don't improve, you continue to suck. However, if you ask questions and you're willing to expose your weaknesses for the sake of improvement, you'll get better at a much faster rate than someone who is unwilling to try.

There's something to be learned here as well.
Often people will assume we're being mean when we're just being curt. Sometimes, in fact, we're being mean, but I try not to be a jerk.
As I said before, however, Zehly asked a good question, and is obviously making efforts to get better. There's nothing to be angry about. People who come in and defend a bad skill or bad idea (which happens all the time) don't get any such courtesy. I try to keep the board as free of bad information as possible, but there's only so much time I can devote to the site. Sometimes that means deleting or editing misniformative posts. However, when I (and my guildmates) are already in a thread, giving the benefit of our experience (like us or not) and someone comes into the thread, gives bad advice, and does so in a confrontational manner...yeah, we can be mean.
None of that is directed at the OP though.

I haven't tried it, but I always thought that won't reactivate Res Signet. Because it is disabled and not on a very long recharge...

I think what people are trying to say is...
1) You should play in a method, not intentionally malicious, that you have fun with.
..and..
2) Anyone that ridicules you obviously is an idiot that has forgotten that they too were once unfamiliar with the ultra advanced techniques of micro management.
If curious, ask questions. Ignore the responses from those that use a tone of 'talking down' and ask more questions to those that actually take the time to give you some respect and explain the ins and outs of the situation in a non-condescending manner.

Insanely useful to get someone back in the game as soon as they're down. Everyone in your team who's not a primary healer/protector (target priority #1) should carry one.

These are useful for mo secondaries and makes a good replacement for res sigs, IF a thing such as Nature's Renewal didn't exist. However, in the current metagame, these two resses are very underpowered because they will get stripped very very very fast.

not to mention you waste an elite with unyielding aura. and vengeance means the guy has to stay with an enchantment on him for 30 seconds, something i dont see happening NR or not.

venegeance and aura arent very useful cept in arena. a res sig on one or two people if a monk dies (people arent dying are they . bad monks -.-) any wa/mo give a hard res like restore life, and then a resmer for the intermediate stages between *dragged out slog* and *lightening strike* battles.

Ummm... rebirth is good when you have been all but wiped out by a team that wasn't good enough to kill a solo monk running away. I will never team with a monk who's philosophy is: "I have a skill slot for a skill that may help if I fail to do my primary job and everyone dies." Ok, while you are preparing for failure and desparation tactics, I will get a monk devoted to keeping me alive.
As a general rule, don't take more rez signets than you expect to have death while still winning in on conflict. That is to say, if it is unlikely that you will beat a team that kills you 5 times, don't bring 5 signets. A good team can get away with 3-4 signets and shouldn't even use that many on some respawning maps. Learn to use the automatic rez and you will find you have slots open to make your build better.

So, if someone dies, it's the monks fault?
But I agree on your 'fall back strategy is bad'-point, because if you lost, you better start again, nowadays it does not take that long to get to the hall. And you hardly win with a fall back strategy - because you rely on mistakes of an other team to come back into play. Normally there are frozen soils everywhere, so rezing your mates isn't that easy

Res Signet
Quick little question, how many out there keep a res signet up during pvp fights? Moreso the Competative Missions than Team Arena, because of the randomizedness... I was just wondering how many non monks bothered with it?

Ever seen Light of Dwayna used in Tombs ? Or has there been a case where you wished you had it in the Tombs ?
I sure wish I had it a couple of times on my monk, since I was the only man standing...yes i was ignored like Scap says when the othr team moved in. I stood in the midst of battle for 4 minutes - untocuhed.
I personally have never used the skill, is the range half a view circle (radar) or something ?

Anytime I go into the Tombs, all people have res signet except for the monks. That's 6 resses, plus any res from a priest, or killing a ghost is easy on non altar maps to get them back, the point is, if you are using more than 6 resses mid battle in the same fight, then most likely than not, you are going to lose. Since most of those deaths will be on the monks anyway.
My second point, is that all this discussion is basically talking about burial mounds.... basically that is the only time that you will be able to run away and hide behind an different team.... Most the other maps are 1vs1 battles where you are their only target and you will lose if you die. Obviously there are circumstances where people ran away and came back to res their entire team while the other teams fought.. But NEVER in my experience yet has that team won except once. even when it was my team that came back and ressed and regened, and went in for the gank, we still lost. the one time i speak of was a time I fought RIFTS in burial mounds. you know, the guild bring back the rifts? We were the only 2 left. it was a 4 team map that time. we both went in at each other, around the center of the map, and we wiped them out. then of course we sprinted towards their priest, but didnt get there in time. they came back, and slaughtered us in about 3 minutes.... somebody said up there that if you lose once, it means they are BETTER nomatter what? so how does that explain this? we got the first kill. they all died. maybe we got RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOy...or they figred out our strategy.. But im sort of off topic here.. My point is that most of the time you WONT have the time to get back and res everybody except in burial mounds.

I agree with this statement. Monks should never have to stop healing to resurect a fallen party member.
If I had to say..
everyone in the party, or at least the vast majority should bring res signet. Yeah you can only use it once, but it's fast and effective. Otherwise, Vengeance is the best rez.

no thanks id rather have monks stick to healing than wasting energy ressing someone. signets on all your offense except for 1 or 2 perma ressers. and a signet on a monk if you have a free slot.
